If you had to be up for 8am, what would be the latest you get to bed?

That’s a massive lie in so, 2/3am

MrsGB2225 · 14/09/2018 21:29

Midnight

I operate on about 5 hours sleep most nights so 3am. I would probably go around midnight and faff on, spend time on my ipad, fall asleep about 2 and be awakw by 6.30-7 am.

TowerRingInferno · 14/09/2018 21:40

I wouldn’t wake up that late even if I had the opportunity. I’m normally awake at 6:40, even on Sundays when I don’t have to be. I work best with 6 hours sleep but can manage on 5.

12-1am although could go to sleep at 2am and be fine. 8am is a lie in here!

What is the point of this thread? Is it a massive stealth boast from someone who usually doesn’t need to get up by a particular time?

I have never had that except in the holidays sometimes and occasional weekends. First it was school, then uni, then work, then work combined with having DC...

In answer to the person who asked what people do. My son goes to bed at 7. I then have to sort the bathroom, tidy his toys, do myself something to eat, and finish sorting the kitchen out. I then sit and watch some tv.
My husband often starts work between 9-11am and doesn't get home until 11.30pm, often later. This is because of his job. If I went to bed we would hardly see each other. So I stay up, he comes home, has a shower and we sit down, have a few drinks and watch telly. We go to bed early hours of the morning. I'm usually awake around 6, sometimes earlier, lying in bed waiting for ds to wake up. Dh gets up when he has to for work.
So that's what I do when I'm up so late, I wait up for my husband who I usually haven't seen all day, and won't see all the day after. It's often the only time we have together.

I need 8-10 hours to be at my best. So probs be in bed by 10 and asleep by 11/12.

NCNCNC123 · 14/09/2018 23:35

Leaving at nine would mean having to get up at half 7, realistically (for coffee, sorting out the animals and showering - I'm not great in in mornings!). Preferably I’d be in bed by half 10, though it's usually 11 or half past.
