Asleep my 12/1. You only need 7hours sleep 8 maximum really

Catfacecats · 14/09/2018 13:50

My children broke me and I apparently can’t sleep past 6am and they are 6/7 years old now! If I was guaranteed to sleep until 8, I’d bed about 12/1am and read for a few hours.

MyDcAreMarvel · 14/09/2018 14:02

Who is “you” Amy?

Strawberrytraveller · 14/09/2018 14:06

Would probably go to bed at 10pm, read until 11pm, then have a nice long 9 hour sleep.

On a normal week I get 7-8 hrs sleep per night.

amusedbush · 14/09/2018 14:07

I get up at 7.30am during the week (no kids and don't have a long commute) and go to sleep around 11.30pm, so probably around then.

PurpleCrazyHorse · 14/09/2018 14:09

8am and still in bed. I would have to be ill. DS is up by 6:30am for a wee.

I go to bed by about 11am and alarm goes off at 6am. We're out the door by 8:25am!

PurpleCrazyHorse · 14/09/2018 14:09

11pm Blush

Heatherjayne1972 · 14/09/2018 14:38

Wow. What job is this where you awaken at 8am and get an hour to get ready??
At 5.30 my alarm goes off. I have to be in work at 7.50 having dropped kids at breakfast club

Want to swap op?

nornironrock · 14/09/2018 14:42

Depends what I'd be getting ready for. But assuming it is nothing too taxing 3 am. If it was to get up and go to work, I'd say 1.

DianaPrincessOfThemyscira · 14/09/2018 15:04

3am? Maybe?

I get up at 8 to be in work for 9, I generally go to bed round 11/12 but I’ve been known to read well into the night. I should go to sleep by 11 but I get major FOMO.

TheBeatGoesOnandOn · 14/09/2018 15:43

It tales a bit for me to fall asleep so would end up drifting off at 12.30/1am.

Ideally 10.30 to get to asleep for 11.

Magik1 · 14/09/2018 15:44

Midnight

CloudCaptain · 14/09/2018 15:49

I used to have a 5min commute to work for 9am so would get up at 8, unless I needed to wash my hair. These days, with kids, 8am is a lie in. So I'd go to bed between 11-1am.

shaggedthruahedgebackwards · 14/09/2018 15:52

It would depend if there was a reason to stay up as late as possible the night before (party, big night out etc)

If it was just an ordinary evening I would aim to be in bed before midnight

If I was attending a party or similar I would aim to be in bed by 2am

delphguelph · 14/09/2018 15:55

10pm.

Yes, I am a loser.

KatieMarieJ · 14/09/2018 16:03

I used to be asleep for about 1.30am for a 6.30am wake up and out the door at 7.30am - back when I worked 9 to 5.

Now though because I don't do that anymore (freelance) on days I do have to be up early like that I find I don't sleep at all. :/

WakeUpFromYourDreamAndScream · 14/09/2018 16:04

Aaahhh 8am, I remember it fondly... 😕

TheKitchenWitch · 14/09/2018 16:06

I'd never be able to sleep until 8am, that would feel weird.
So I suppose if I could sleep until I naturally woke up (realistically about 6.30 - 7am) then I guess around midnight.

NoLeslie · 14/09/2018 16:07

If I am lucky I go to bed at 3am and get up at 4am ready for my job as a professional mayrtr.

BearSoFair · 14/09/2018 16:20

Around 1am. I usually get up at 6:45 and aim to be in bed for midnight.

theunsure · 14/09/2018 16:23

Depends what it is for and whether I need to be on top form or not.

Midnight would be fine, 1am would be ok. 2am I could get away with (but would feel shite)

Namethecat · 14/09/2018 16:26

I'm an old crone. We go to bed around 10-15 / 10.30. Alarm goes off at 5.45 and we are out of the house by 6.45.

Mymadworld · 14/09/2018 16:31

My alarm goes off at 7am and should go to bed around 11pm to feel my best but it's usually later.

8 hours sleep is ideal, 7ish hours fine but less than 6 I start to look shit and am cranky & short-tempered which isn't great looking after small children!

Changedforpost · 14/09/2018 16:36

8am is like lunchtime for me. Up between 3am and 4am every morning ..... (sigh)

FabulousTomatoes · 14/09/2018 16:36

I’m a crap sleeper so would probably be settled in by about 10.30 in order to have a chance of eight hours’ sleep.

If i could go back to my old days pre-dc when I would sleep from when my head would hit the pillow all the way through to my alarm, I would probably still go to bed by 10.30 Grin as the thought of all that sleep would make me v happy
