Maybe chuck some wedges in too if you’re not sure?

HeckinGoodDoggo · 11/09/2018 11:35

No way

Bitchywaitress · 11/09/2018 11:36

Lunch or dinner? I don’t think it’s enough for dinner, that’s only just over half a pizza each. How about adding some Italian cured meats and a big bowl of pasta in sauce?

No, wouldn’t think it’s enough

Bitchywaitress · 11/09/2018 11:37

Depends on the event as well, if several hours with alcohol definitely not enough!

Pascha · 11/09/2018 11:38

I was thinking a plateful of food is about half a pizza, couple of slices of baguette, pile of salad and sides would be about the same as an average evening meal anyway?

Am I wildly out? I'm sitting in the car park at tesco, maybe I should get another pizza to be sure?

It's Ds1 8th birthday with grandparents and cousins round for tea tonight.

Depends on appetites... would be fine for me but some adults might eat a pizza to themselves. I would add some potato wedges/ chips to be sure.

Pascha · 11/09/2018 11:40

Wedges is a good idea. I'll go back in now and get another pizza and some wedges then.

What if someone wants seconds lol

Lwmommy · 11/09/2018 11:41

Get a big sharing salad and some corn on the cob. You can microwave ir boil t he corn and its all stuff that goes well with pizza and can be eaten as left overs if needs be

TwitterQueen1 · 11/09/2018 11:41

Not enough, no. 8 adults = 8 standard pizzas and then another 2 for the children.

Pascha · 11/09/2018 11:42

Seconds? They can have cereal or toast Wink

Pascha · 11/09/2018 11:44

Really? I don't know anyone who eats a whole supermarket pizza plus sides and salad.

OP posts:
Pascha · 11/09/2018 11:45

My kids share one 😐

With things like pizza and garlic bread I would get a couple more but not cook them unless needed.

Dairymilkmuncher · 11/09/2018 11:45

Jazz up the salad as much as you can, tin of sweet corn, grated carrot, celery, spring onion etc

If you're not veggie then maybe get some chicken wings OR cocktail sausages OR chicken strips type thing even if it's the quota version I feel like it's not a meal without meat/meat replacement and a stack of veggies

Butterymuffin · 11/09/2018 11:45

If you slice pizzas into 8 as I do, then 6 pizzas makes 48 slices = 4.36 slices each (can you tell I'm bored?) Would that be enough? Depends how old the kids are maybe. I reckon you've done right getting another and the wedges.

Dairymilkmuncher · 11/09/2018 11:46

quorn

BabySharkAteMyHamster · 11/09/2018 11:49

Get a couple.of oxes of fresh chicken wings and some marinade to party it up a bit

Pascha · 11/09/2018 11:52

Right. I have
2 pepperoni
2 spinach and ricotta
3 Margherita (kids like plain)
Potato salad
Coleslaw
Wedges
4 garlic baguettes
Salad comprising of leaves, tomatoes, cucumber, peppers, cooked sweetcorn, grated carrot on the side, spring onions
Extra bread rolls with butter.

Am I doing better?

lastqueenofscotland · 11/09/2018 11:52

That doesn’t sound like much food at all. Supermarket pizzas often are thin based and not filling

Pascha · 11/09/2018 11:52

I can make salsa as well.

OP posts:
Zucker · 11/09/2018 11:55

Up the sides a bit. Unless its 1 teaspoon of coleslaw and potato salad each?

TwitterQueen1 · 11/09/2018 11:57

It's Ok for quantity, but you've got so many carbs.... bread rolls, baguettes, wedges, potato salad, plus the pizza. Personally I'd forget the bread rolls, wedges and baguettes and throw in some chicken thighs or nuggets instead.....
