Your update sounds great - plenty of food there!

I would say no. People won't feel they can eat what they want so that everyone gets enough. I would usually over cater though as you can always use leftovers.

Jacket potatoes with pizza this thread is getting bizarre.

With your update it’s plenty op. I would expect a birthday tea to be pretty carb heavy and appetites will vary, so some people will eat less allowing bigger appetites to eat more. It’s fine.

Really? I don't know anyone who eats a whole supermarket pizza plus sides and salad.

I have, can, and do... but only in private with my husband.

This is what's left. I didn't cook the seventh pizza and the coleslaw wasn't opened. Everything else was eaten so I wasn't that far out after all.

How is one tub of coleslaw/ potato salad going to feed 11 people? If people feel there isn't enough to go round, they won't take any, then you"ll end up with leftovers.

@ragged 11:52 minus the extra pizza and the bread rolls. What was left cooked and uneaten was 13 slices amounting to 1&½ pizzas so actually, 5 pizzas would have been enough.
