Post-IVF squinter - please tell me this is a line?

Hi everyone - I'm desperately hoping that others can see the very faint line that I think I see?

I'm only five days after a 5-day blast transfer, so it's super early and I'll test again tomorrow morning, but could it be? Oh please, please let it be . . .

Post-IVF squinter - please tell me this is a line?

I see something. Very squinty though! Fingers crossed for you both.

MalcolmTuckerIsMyHERO · 09/09/2018 18:06

I can see a faint line too..... Good luck!

Kezzauk82 · 09/09/2018 18:06

I can see a line!
I had a similar result when I was expecting my period but not over due, so not impossible to get a positive this early.
Get a clear blue tomorrow to be more sure.
Good luck!

That’s a definite line!

welshweasel · 09/09/2018 18:08

Get a FRER, if that’s a proper line the FRER will be super obvious. I got positives 5dp5dt on both my successful cycles.

applesauce1 · 09/09/2018 18:08

I see it! That's what my first test looked like and I'm currently 6 months pregnant. So so happy for you!!

HavelockVetinari · 09/09/2018 18:10

Yep, I'm an expert with those tests (fellow IVF-er, fist bump!) and that's a positive test.

Praying for you for a sticky bean!

flopsyrabbit1 · 09/09/2018 18:12

MyBrexitUnicornDied · 09/09/2018 18:12

I don’t normally comment on these threads but I can see a line! Fingers crossed for you.

RedPandaFluff · 09/09/2018 18:14

Oh my god! I'm shaking like a leaf Grin

Will test in the morning again, although I only have the cheapies and a Clearblue Digital, which I'll save for official test day. I'll do cheapies until then.

Thank you for the responses - I am painfully aware it's early days but after a previously failed cycle, it's a good start!

Having had 4 IVFs...I can still remember how much an emotional roller coaster IVF was. Its very positive that you have had a blastocyst transfer....but I am a bit worried you are going to stress yourself out testing early. You might want to just wait until the day the clinic tells you to test. Good luck.

RedPandaFluff · 09/09/2018 18:26

Hi ittakes2 - totally agree with the cautious approach, and I'm not jumping around the house shouting "I'm pregnant!". Far from it - I realise there's a high chance of a chemical pregnancy, I might not make it to the viability scan etc. And I haven't told my husband as I don't want to get his hopes up - I'll wait until OTD and if I still get a positive then, I'll show him.

I changed my testing strategy this time round - I waited the full 14 days last cycle, as advised by the clinic, but during those 14 days I experienced very strong pregnancy symptoms (which I know now result from the progesterone). So when I tested, I was devastated. It was a cataclysmic disappointment. So this time, I decided to test early so that the disappointment would be gradually confirmed, if you know what I mean? That if I kept getting negatives, I'd start to reconcile it in my mind.

Thank you for your concern - were any of your cycles successful? I hope so because 4 is a hell of an endurance test Thanks

Definite positive. Did you have a hcg trigger although that should be out of the system by now. I got twins from my fifth ivf round with all previous ones having been negative. I couldn’t believe it when I saw those two lines and i felt strangely numb. Fingers crossed for you.

RedPandaFluff · 09/09/2018 18:43

Hi serenmoon - wow! Twins Grin

No, it was a frozen cycle with donor eggs so no hcg shot, so at least I don't have that question mark in my head along with all the others!

OP posts:
serenmoon · 09/09/2018 18:46

Did you have one or two transferred 👶🏻👶🏻? Even though my hcg was very high I only got a faint line at the same time. By official test day it was very dark and no mistaking it

Sallystyle · 09/09/2018 18:49

I personally can't see a line, I can see what looks like a shadow but my eyesight is not great.

I really really hope it is positive. I'll have everything crossed for you. Just be cautious please about the 'definitely positive' replies. Good luck OP Thanks

southnownorth · 09/09/2018 18:49
