Ok so I will kick this off. I clearly did not pay attention during sex ed cos here I am mid 30s just finding this out.

Your pee and your period come out of 2 different bits.

Astonished when I found this out today reading reviews on moon cups.

Anyone got any to add?

I'm really not judging but I'm shocked that by your 30s you weren't aware that you don't pee out of your vagina!

I found out that a table with 3 legs can't wobble. Mind blown.

sirmione16 · 04/09/2018 17:23

Not really a fact (well, it is) but someone said to me the other day "have you thought that there was a point where your parents/carer put you down as a child and never picked you up again?" I was like Shock

Gardeninginsummer1 · 04/09/2018 17:26

My dd1 was moaning that I hadn't wound her car window all the way. I said it didn't go all the way. She asked why and I said it was obviously to keep children safe. Dh nearly crashed the car laughing...apparently they can't go all the way down as the rear doors have a cut out for the wheel arch and therefore there's not enough depth in the door for the window to go all the way down.
Mind. Blown. At 40.

PamPooveysCow · 04/09/2018 17:27

OP I'm assuming you've never used tampons?

I found out that the little lever on the side of some push taps is for turning the flow rate down. My DD(6) taught me that. Dunno how long they've been there.

Seriously though, pee & periods? The mind boggles.

Seriously? That has blown my mind that you didn’t know that. It’s basic biology. How do you think the pee gets out if you use a tampon?

Allthatglittersisgold · 04/09/2018 17:29

I have actually used tampons. I always took them out when peeing because I thought I had to or else they would get all peed on.

I'm sorry, but how could you be in your mid 30s and not have known this? Did you think that you wee out of the same hole that the baby comes out of?

Allthatglittersisgold · 04/09/2018 17:30

Maybe I missed biology that week but I seriously did not know this. Anyway. Keep em coming.

car windows - pretty sure that my teenage boyfriend opened up his car doors and removed the bit that stopped them going down, so his went all the way down.

Was that my imagination?

AfterSchoolWorry · 04/09/2018 17:31

😂 OMG OP !

NotUmbongoUnchained · 04/09/2018 17:32

Narwhals are real. I actually found this out about a year ago but I will never stop being mind blown

PamPooveysCow · 04/09/2018 17:32

Can you not feel where your pee comes out? Confused When you were little did you never hang onto your pee when you were desperate?

Definitely the most mind blowing thing so far!

1forsorrow2forjoy · 04/09/2018 17:33

I had no idea about the car windows, I thought it was a safety thing too!!

PhilomenaButterfly · 04/09/2018 17:33

Allthat my DD 10 knew that.

ApollO88 · 04/09/2018 17:34

I didn't know that cows had to have babies to be able to produce milk..... i just assumed they produced it naturally. Like bees produce honey.

Mrbatmun · 04/09/2018 17:34

I need some clarification here. Did you think the wee comes through your uterus and cervix and out through your vagina? Where did you think your bladder was? You have blown my mind a bit with this!

NigelGresley · 04/09/2018 17:35

Sorry OP I find this really hard to believe.
It doesn’t matter if you were asleep during sex Ed, I find it completely inconceivable that you couldn’t have realised this.
Sorry Confused

Cleopatra lived closer to today than to the building of the pyramids.

The T-Rex lived closer to today than to the Stegosaurus.

Time is mind-blowing.

UrsulaPandress · 04/09/2018 17:36

Every day's a school day eh.

mooncuplanding · 04/09/2018 17:37

That we have a whole system of brain neurons our guts....as many as a dog

The ‘gut feeling’ has a biological reality

bumblingbovine49 · 04/09/2018 17:43

Give the OP a break . I didn't know there was a different hole for wee and periods until I was in my late 20s. I had just never thought about it and when I wee. gravity makes it feel like I am weeing out of my vagina.Itstill feels like this, though I obviously know otherwise now.

I never looked that closely and just didn't think about it much so just sort of assumed

Allthatglittersisgold · 04/09/2018 17:45

I just though that pee came from the same place as where I stick up a tampon. I havent really given the area a good look at tbh. I get that its hard to believe if its something you've always know but see when I need to go? I feel like I am clenching my whole vagina to try and hold it in. I never realised it specifically came out a different bit. Now I do and it will make periods a lot easier.

Thanks bumbling. Its hard to explain. Even now I know it seems weird to me lol. I knew I would get stick for this admission anyway.

Mine go all the way down in current car, but wonder if it's cos it has a HUGE boot that can accommodate 2 extra seats? Hmm

Squeakyheart · 04/09/2018 17:49

Wombats poop cubes!
