Mine goes really frizzy

But if you put leave in conditioner it goes really nice

I have long but straight hair but it is very hard to brush without conditioner or hair mask

I don't do much to mine ( comb it through before washing, roll in towel, add curl stuff). If I totally leave it I look rather like a cross between a poodle and Boris Johnson on a bad hair day!

Both wavy and a bit lank. If I don't dry it it goes greasy by the next day.

Ironfloor269 · 04/09/2018 15:19

@educatingarti, off topic but isn't EVERY DAY a bad hair day for BoJo?

GallicosCats · 04/09/2018 16:02

Like some PPs here I have mostly straight, flat hair cut in a pixie crop, with a few bloody awkward flicky bits and cowlicks that are resistant to home blow drying and insist on sticking out sideways round my ears and temple. Not a great look.

Now and again I find a really good hairdresser who knows how to discipline it with the scissors...they invariably move on and I have to run the gamut of mediocre hairdressers who are better with colour and braids than scissors.

Belletower · 04/09/2018 16:08

Honestly? It's a crime scene.

It doesn't take much to style it, but I wish I didn't have to bother!

goose1964 · 04/09/2018 16:17

I never dry or style my hair, I have very wavy verging on curly hair and end up with corkscrew curls

Kemer2018 · 04/09/2018 16:17

Flat!

LanaorAna2 · 04/09/2018 16:25

Deranged. My hair has way more energy than I do.

Can't blowdry because menopause makes me sweat so much, instantly soaking hair again.

Leave in conditioner, comb, touch of hairspray on the self-quiffing front, ignoring mirror at all times, all help to pass for normal.

BreconBeBuggered · 04/09/2018 16:26

Very very wavy, but unevenly. Couldn't leave it to dry without any kind of intervention. It's really thick so it takes hours and hours to dry by itself. I need to flatten it down to get any real shine on it.

0lgaDaPolga · 04/09/2018 16:28

Without conditioner I really struggle to get a brush through it. I have very fine hair but a lot of it and it gets tangled very easily. With conditioner it’s fine, I tend to just wash it, brush it and leave to dry naturally. It probably looks a bit more flat and lifeless than it would if I blow dried it but I don’t really have time and I’m not too bothered

KickAssAngel · 04/09/2018 16:28

the same as it always does. I just wash it & leave it.

OurMiracle1106 · 04/09/2018 16:55

If I leave it and let it dry naturally or it gets wet it goes curly which is hit and miss. Sometimes they are lovely ringlet curls and other times I look a mess! They stay lovely until brushed! Then I look like a fuzz ball.

megletthesecond · 04/09/2018 16:56

Wavy.

If I touch it with a hairdryer I look like one of Whitesnake. Product makes it look lanky. It's best left alone to dry in bunches.

Surpriseitsme · 04/09/2018 17:59

@ironfloor269 i just pineapple but sort of doubled over into a kind of bunapple

FesteringCarbuncle · 04/09/2018 18:04

There are a lot of posters on the thread who would benefit from the curly girl method
It transforms wavy or curly hair

MeetOnTheLedge · 04/09/2018 18:06

Tried Curly Girl, no-poo was awful for my hair. I do still try and avoid silicones though and squeeze but never rub my hair dry.

VickieCherry · 04/09/2018 18:07

It's fine. Dries straight, a bit flat on top, a bit boofy at the ends because they're dry. I rarely do much to it - a quick whizz with the blowdyer upside down to give it some volume, leave it to dry on the way to work.

If I want it to look good I'll use the Babyliss Big Hair, or spend ages brushing and blowdrying properly. Both take more effort than I'm willing to spend 95% of the time.

SwedishEdith · 04/09/2018 18:09

I tried it as well - awful. I don't have the time to let my hair dry naturally - takes hours and result is unpredictable (and 90% of the time is awful) so couldn't go to work with wet hair.

DoAsYouWouldBeMumBy · 04/09/2018 19:49

I never wash my hair without using conditioner, but I just squidge a bit of curly hair gel into it, scrunch with my fingers and let it dry. I never brush it, dry it etc. It is thick, wavy and rather nice, I think! I do get it cut with short layers in order to help it wave, though.

The rest of me is a bit crap, but my hair is my friend Star

noeffingidea · 04/09/2018 20:24

I always wash and condition mine then leave it. Every now and then I bung a bit if argan oil in. Mines wavy/fluffy/slightly curly in places. I usually put it up in a little pony tail or bun because I don't like the feel of it against my neck.

Roamingseams · 04/09/2018 20:35

Absolutely terrifying! Thick frizzy, wavy mop.

Because it's long it takes ages to blowdry so I usually leave it to dry naturally overnight. I scare myself in the mirror in the morning. I live in dread that my hair straighteners go missing or stop working, because if they did I really wouldn't be able to leave the house.

elena7475 · 04/09/2018 21:14

I always need dry hair before I go to sleep because they still will be wet in the morning

PickAChew · 04/09/2018 21:39

Rockhopper penguin look eliminated. Hair still massive, even with a ton of serum. Looking forward to it being long enough that I can just leave it without ending up looking ridiculous because my arms ache.
