Mine goes really frizzy

But if you put leave in conditioner it goes really nice

Poker straight but a bit limp / lifeless

SwedishEdith · 03/09/2018 23:23

Like this. But, I did get leave it dry this year on holiday after it was wet from the pool. It dried in the sun/wind and I didn't touch it at all and I had fantastic, perfect ringlets. It never happened again.

Flat, flat and lifeless.

Heathcliff27 · 03/09/2018 23:28

Fluffy but flat

Scotstar · 03/09/2018 23:30

Now really nice ringlets that sit well.
It's taken a long time and a lot of hair disasters to get to this stage though!
Had a baby a year ago and my hairs been in awful condition since. Lots of breakage in my super thick very curly hair.
I get on well with my hairdresser and I trust her so she ended up shaving in a number 2 undercut to get rid of all the yucky hair and weight and trimming the rest.
Sits so well now I wish I'd done it years ago!

GunpowderGelatine · 03/09/2018 23:31

Frizzy on top, greasy underneath. I can't get away with not blow drying it

PawneeParksDept · 03/09/2018 23:36

Mine looks like @chipsandgin 's pic

Bloody nightmare and forget washing it the night before, then it's that picture slicked with chip pan leftovers

Twillow · 03/09/2018 23:41

I have started doing this a lot more and quite like it. The trick for me is NOT combing or brushing AT ALL while it's wet. Just tidy with fingers and leave. It goes wavy rather than frizzy.

4men1lady · 03/09/2018 23:48

Looks like I’ve been plugged into the national grid

CheeseAndOnionIceCream · 03/09/2018 23:59

Very wavy. I gave up fighting with it about 10 years ago when I was very ill,and I couldn't cope with blow drying. Now after washing,I comb it it out,tie it in a pony tail and leave it tied back until it's nearly dry. Thankfully it looks OK.

Honeyroar · 04/09/2018 00:06

Long and straight. Refuses to hold any style. Luckily it's in fashion! It's good, strong, thick, shiny hair. One of my few good points!

delphguelph · 04/09/2018 00:09

Like Swedish edith/ si king.

I'm fact I'm starting to think I'm related to si king, I look just like him!

EBearhug · 04/09/2018 00:10

Wash, condition, rinse, brush, leave.

Me too. The only time it gets blow-dried is in winter when I have to go home from swimming and it's freezing outside. It feels all fluffy and uncontrolled after that, and my face is bright red.

Hairdresser has asked me how I keep it in such good condition. Because I don’t blow dry it.

delphguelph · 04/09/2018 00:11

Mine also goes in perfect beach waves when I'm at the beach and leave it. Which is basically never, really.

Terramirabilis · 04/09/2018 00:11

Mine is ok. It's fine and never been dyed so it's in good condition. Where do people learn all these secrets of hair styling? I have always wanted to be the kind of person who does fabulous things with their hair.

PickAChew · 04/09/2018 00:18

Big.

Currently growing it out from short crop to Bob and it's at the awkward stage. Had a few times when sore hands or heat have put me off trying to style it.

happymummy12345 · 04/09/2018 00:20

Mine is curly and frizzy.

Tortycat · 04/09/2018 00:23

Ok. I use normal conditioner then just leave it in a bun and it dries (eventually) in a messy loose wave.

when i try to do anything with it it looks awful. That said, when the hairdresser blow dries it it looks fab in comparison!

starsandstuff · 04/09/2018 00:25

This

EnidButton · 04/09/2018 00:28

Just left to air dry it's beach wavy.
Blow dried, it's first year Hermione, huge, wild and fluffy.
Blow dried, finished off with a parlux dryer and moroccan oil and it's subtly wavy, glossy and swishy.

It really hates being blow dried basically. It freaks hair dressers out. "We'll just give it a blast with the dryer then finish it off" half an hour later they're looking at 4 times the amount of hair than when they started and breaking out in a cold sweat.

Lkophvii · 04/09/2018 00:30

That’s all I ever do! Straight after a wash it’s nice curls, the next day after I’ve slept on it I always look like I’ve been dragged through a hedge but I don’t really care, I just embrace the crazy hedge person look Grin

Angie169 · 04/09/2018 06:30

Conditioner doesn't make any difference with mine I permanently look like a startled toilet brush Hmm

Zoflorabore · 04/09/2018 06:36

Mine is kinky ( not that type of kinky! ) and very dark and thick and my hair falls out everywhere when I dry and straighten it so tend to just dry my fringe ( full fringe ) and throw the rest up.
When I do blow it and straighten I always get people asking if I've been to the salon.

My 7yr old dd has the most beautiful hair and it has never been dried. Weirdly, it's at its nicest when she has been swimming. I can't explain that one but it looks amazing. Will see if I have a pic...

Blush that's all I ever do. Wash, towel, brush, leave. If it's cold then put a hat over it.
