Just for fun! Aside from property/cars, whats the best thing you've purchased this year?

@scifi101
Bought it from Robert Dyas. Only a few ££ and it’s transformed our house. That and the jet washer I bought in the sale. Patio looks completely different!

We treated ourselves to a fab mattress. It was in the sale, down from £1200 to about £950 🤦‍♀️ We also got a pillow each which were £140 for both. Our old mattress was memory foam and so hard, I hated it. We literally counted down the days until it arrived and have slept so much better since.

just place marking

CutesyUserName · 04/09/2018 15:37

Our electric bikes, my glittery Skechers flip flops and, as of yesterday, my magic makeup removing fluffy cloth which leaves my face feeling gorgeous.

RemusLupinsBiggestGroupie · 04/09/2018 17:28

Thought of two more:

Philip Kingsley Elasticizer - saved my hair after a holiday in the sun.

A new Henry after the old one died - the old one lived for almost twenty years, so I'm hoping this one will do the same.

Tentomidnight · 04/09/2018 17:37

My new bath, and some lovely bubble bath Smile

troodiedoo · 04/09/2018 17:41

Dyson fan(s). Could not have got through this summer without them.

Kemer2018 · 04/09/2018 17:47

St moritz self tanning mousse. £3 a can.
Plus a decent mitt from ebay.
I've had so many compliments.

A John rocher dress for 13.50 again I've had many compliments.

marvelousways · 04/09/2018 18:44

Oooh...Also have to say my cordless shark vacuum!
My fit bit. Has helped me loose 3 stone so far
My new running trainers. So happy to be back into running!
Currently also loving my new instant put but have only had it 2 days so maybe too early to claim it as an all time favorite purchase!

TheBadgersMadeMeDoIt · 04/09/2018 18:50

The cat sprayer!

Attached to the hose pipe, it sits on a spike in the edge of the lawn and automatically squirts cats and foxes with water to scare them away. No more shit all over the lawnmower!

Now I just have to learn to remember it's there when I put the washing out. It's got me right on the arse at least five times.

Taffeta · 04/09/2018 19:09

Body Shop coconut body butter - awesome as an after sun moisturiser

Hand held old stylee manual Chinese fan - £1.99 used all summer

Fitbit - love and would now be lost without it

New thin Microplane grater - very good for fine Parmesan and zesting

Sallystyle · 04/09/2018 19:11

My rescue dog and Pink Gin.

FaithInfinity · 04/09/2018 19:20

Ooh yes U2hastheedge I am also a pink gin convert!

troodiedoo · 04/09/2018 19:23

oh also a spider catcher! Not had to use it yet, but it brings peace of mind.

TroysMammy · 04/09/2018 19:29

Greenhouse. Flavoursome tomatoes straight off the vine and lots of lovely chillis of different varieties.

ElspethFlashman · 04/09/2018 19:31

My Pulleymaid ceiling airer. No more clothes horses cluttering up the spare room taking days to dry! I love it so much.

I'm only regretting I didn't get the jumbo size!

ElspethFlashman · 04/09/2018 19:31

Am very intrigued by this egg boiler - sounds fantastic.

TooManyRedRedWines · 04/09/2018 19:34

Which usb chargeable fans did people buy please? I feel I need to invest in one Smile

bridgetjonesmassivepants · 04/09/2018 19:42

Flymo robotic mower - the best thing ever, the lawn looks amazing all the time.

Scifi101 · 04/09/2018 21:36

Thankyou one day

Sammysquiz · 04/09/2018 21:44

Sorry, messed up the link. It’s this

MakeYourOwnFuckingTea · 04/09/2018 21:52

My vape. I bought all the extras (juice, coils etc) so I have no excuses. It's only been 13 days but I'm so proud of myself. Never not smoked this long since being pregnant.

MakeYourOwnFuckingTea · 04/09/2018 21:58

Ooh and a SPF50 parasol that is also an umbrella. It has a stick that lights up like a light sabre and a torch built into the handle. It enabled me to venture outside and not get burnt this summer. Plus I can use it as an actual brolly. Best part is it was under £15.
