Just for fun! Aside from property/cars, whats the best thing you've purchased this year?

Mine has to be my rice cooker/steamer. Sad i know 😁

So many wonderful new purchases! My springer spaniel has my heart though. She has most certainly been my favourite purchase by far.

EdisonLightBulb · 03/09/2018 16:08

Tiled roof on the conservatory.

mummyhaschangedhername · 03/09/2018 16:14

So now I have a chilly bottle coming tomorrow 😂

A big pack of papermate flair pens... Use them all the time, they make my writing look so much better!
I'm also considering a chilly now! 🐏

dobbythedoggy · 03/09/2018 17:32

Sumbloxs for the children. Has helped dd gain loads of confidence with her numbers/maths. Ds loves playing with them too. I get a good chunck of quiet everytime they come out, get them out every evening while I'm dishing up tea atthe moment.

Large insulated kleen kanteen. Saved a fortune by being able to take ice lollies out with us, looking forward to taking hot chocolate out too.

Just for me investing in hair cut by someone who actually knows what they are doing with curly hair and treating it properly.

vampirethriller · 03/09/2018 18:05

Maternity leggings. I may never stop wearing them.

NorksAreMessy · 03/09/2018 18:08

GOUSTO

OMG I love Gousto. I can now cook food that people are prepared to eat and I actually enjoy cooking it.

Canshopwillshop · 03/09/2018 18:15

Our new super king sized bed, complete with a slightly softer mattress on my side and a firmer one on DH’s side. It is soooo comfy!
Another Chilly’s bottle fan here.

thenightsky · 03/09/2018 18:15

All Saints leather biker jacket (bought on the back of MN style and beauty thread). I've never had a proper leather jacket, only cheap efforts. It goes with everything and I love it! Grin

LastOneDancing · 03/09/2018 18:32

Two Ikea stackable recycling boxes. So boring but I love the order it has brought to the corner of my utility room.

A down jacket. Light and warm. I'm a much nicer person when I'm not cold.

yawning801 · 03/09/2018 18:36

Does a night in the Cotswolds count? That was an expensive but really relaxing night.

If not, my Amazon Alexa. I don't know how to connect it to Google but it does good maths when my brain can't!

yawning801 · 03/09/2018 18:39

Oh, and some drawers from Wilko. They're helping me store the ton of crap I appear to accumulated over the past few years!

OddestSock · 03/09/2018 18:39

I love my chilly water bottle too! I’d never usually spend that on a bottle but I had some birthday money & I wanted to treat myself to something & chose that. It’s fab!

For the kids, lightweight bikes - they’ve loved cycling this year.

deepsea · 03/09/2018 19:00

Mint velvet sandals!

deepsea · 03/09/2018 19:01

Most comfortable sandals in the world and so stylish too

TheOnlyLivingMumInNewCross · 03/09/2018 19:03

My tens machine. I get terrible pain in my neck and it causes headaches. I've been to physio but of course, the second that stops it's sore again.
It was £8.99 from Amazon and 30 minutes on a massage setting works wonders.

onalongsabbatical · 03/09/2018 19:11

@TheOnlyLivingMumInNewCross could you possibly post a link to the tens you bought? Just looked at Amaz tens listings there are so many! TIA.

SapphireSeptember · 03/09/2018 19:12

My make up, specifically MAC Black Stallion lipstick, limited edition, but the best black lipstick I've ever used!

amusedbush · 03/09/2018 19:25

The Mulberry Bayswater I’ve been lusting after for ten years. Being an adult can be okay sometimes Grin

IHopeYouStepOnALegoPiece · 03/09/2018 19:34

My 250ml & 750ml Chillys bottle! I’ve had the 500ml for a couple of year but it isn’t always enough or is to much if I’m just nipping to the shops...these have revolitionised my life! Both perfect for what I need them for and I’m now ready for any occasion! For anyone unsure, they are expensive but god they’re worth it!

Otherwise, my iPad, the old one died a death and this one is fabulous! And I’m not hunched over my phone constantly!

A q for the Dyson owners, does anyone thoroughly enjoy clicking it back on the wall?! It’s so satisfying!

Pinkyponkcustard · 03/09/2018 19:36

Instant pot

Dyson v8

Home gel nails kit

KitandPup · 03/09/2018 19:46

Spotify

Acid toner

GooodMythicalMorning · 03/09/2018 19:48

Chillys bottles look good. Might get one for my sister if she doesn't have one already!

Doyouthinktheysaurus · 03/09/2018 19:57

I have a rose gold chilly bottle. It is amazing, love it so much.

Almost as much as my absolute Best Buy this year which is my electric bike. God, I love it so much. It has transformed cycling for me, means I can regularly cycle to work and back.

It’s a Juicy Bike. Cost a lot of money but oh so worth it. It is just like having someone pushing from behind whilst you cycle.
