Not sure about this as it is highly irritating to have someone jumping around you pretend to 'box' and he could have poked her by accident. She was in a car accident recently and could be tender there. Some could say she had a right to complain even though he was obviously not deliberately trying to hurt her.

The asking for him to be removed from the house (if she did that) and claims that he'd 'beaten her up' were a complete overreaction of though.

And to you both, that's not how the law works (although I'm sure you'll tell me I am wrong).

rainbowsandsmiles · 04/09/2018 00:41

I can promise you they're not a criminal matter. As previously stated I studied law at Uni so I do know what I'm talking about.

Yes,and I've studied law too. You absolutely can be charged with defamation, whether it be slander or libel, whether any earnings are brought into it or not.

Tigger001 · 04/09/2018 00:43

Sorry @GunpowderGelatine if by both you meant that at me also, I have worked in this field and can assure you, you can bring a case to court for libel or slander and claim punitive damages not actual a loss of earnings.
The case would be pretty straight forward being the "would be defendant" has pretty much admitted she exaggerated the truth (at the very least) and the rest obtained by possibly the only place where there is 24/7 surveillance showing her actions.

rainbowsandsmiles · 04/09/2018 00:44

She needs professional help for her own sake and those around her. If I were alone with her, I would feel quite unsafe. She could accuse you of anything and not only believe that it happened but also sound completely plausible.

That's how I see it too. She seems to believe her own lies. It's chilling. You wouldn't feel safe around her.

GunpowderGelatine · 04/09/2018 00:48

Under what criminal law rainbow can a person be criminally charged with defamation?

Fair enough Tiger but it wouldn't be a cut and dry easy case. I wonder - I haven't seen any of Roxanne's interviews, but I've seen on social media she's not saying the words "I lied" - if she's been advised not to put herself in a situation where she can be easily sued for defamation.

Tigger001 · 04/09/2018 00:55

@GunpowderGelatine they can present the footage from the house, then to footage of her going round all the housemates blatantly lying about what the footage shows.
The defendant does not have to admit they have lied, the judge will use the evidence presented and their knowledge and experience. And a judge who is wet behind the ears, so to speak, would find in his favour, saying that anyone with just a bit of knowledge and common sense would.

GunpowderGelatine · 04/09/2018 00:56

I know she doesn't have to admit she lied for it to stick, but if she does it opens her up to all sorts of potential trouble. She'd make a great politician

rainbowsandsmiles · 04/09/2018 01:00

they can present the footage from the house, then to footage of her going round all the housemates blatantly lying about what the footage shows.

Exactly. There's enough footage from the house to show that she was out to slander his reputation. Never mind if you've seen any of her interviews or what she has or hasn't said in them.

Tigger001 · 04/09/2018 01:06

@rainbowsandsmiles yes you are correct. It is quite scary to see someone who can look you straight in the eye and completely lie about a situation, and you know it's not true, but they completely believe it happened...are they then lying ?
I don't know if this is necessarily her or wether a plan to secure lots of publicity and sympathy, due to her basically being a narcissist has just massively backfired.
She appears to do anything that will enhance her own image with no regard for the consequences or the truth, horrible person maybe more then actually needing help...or is that harsh ... No I don't think it actually is, as this outcome could have been so different for him

Tigger001 · 04/09/2018 01:11

@GunpowderGelatine yes if you mean doing something incredibly underhanded in the most stupid way , misjudge it massively as you've done it in probably the only place in the world where you can be recorded with your consent 24hrs a day, 7 days a week, to get caught, then yes, could easily pass a politicians mistake if you exchanged the key names in the chain if events

GunpowderGelatine · 04/09/2018 01:11

rainbows can you answer me about the criminal law for defamation please? How would the police make an arrest?

I think Roxanne is just an inherently bad person. Possible narcissist, very little regard for the feelings of others and will do anything to elevate herself. She seems to thrive off controversy. Do you remember on Soapstar Superstar she had an affair with Richard Fleeshman from Corrie whilst still with her policeman boyfriend, and Richard was about 17? That was huge news at the time! She clearly has form for shocking people and being the headline act in anything she does. I'm sure she was also a total dickhead on Dancing on Ice, took massive offence when the coach Karen Thingmabob got her name wrong and waffles on about it for weeks. She even 'accidentally' got Karen's name wrong the week after. Woman has issues

GunpowderGelatine · 04/09/2018 01:13

Yep that's pretty much it Tiger Grin like a politician she's admitted to lying without using the words "I'm a liar". If she hasn't been coached I'll eat my hat

Tigger001 · 04/09/2018 01:16

@GunpowderGelatine sorry, I only explained using the footage to highlight it would be a "cut and dry case" not in relation to her admitting she lied

Tigger001 · 04/09/2018 01:17

@GunpowderGelatine oh definitely scripted all the way, damage limitation, I would say at its best but it's far from it lol

Tigger001 · 04/09/2018 01:18

Am I right that I have seen her on the advert for celeb island with bear grylls or am I massively mistaken ?

rainbowsandsmiles · 04/09/2018 01:22

rainbows can you answer me about the criminal law for defamation please? How would the police make an arrest?

How would the police make an arrest? I don't know, as I'm not the police. I do know though that if someone was to go to the police with slander/libel of a character and there was enough evidence to support that, it would be taken seriously. Deliberate defamation of character is a crime.

GunpowderGelatine · 04/09/2018 01:23

It's not a criminal offence and the police would not be interested. Defamation is a civil offence.

rainbowsandsmiles · 04/09/2018 01:26

Am I right that I have seen her on the advert for celeb island with bear grylls or am I massively mistaken ?

Yes, she's apparently in Celeb Island. Left after a few days apparently as she was traumatised by a bonfire triggering house fire memories.
Thing is, no-one's going to believe a word that comes out of her mouth now, are they? She's massively shot herself in the foot.

rainbowsandsmiles · 04/09/2018 01:27

It's not a criminal offence and the police would not be interested

Yeah, if you say so. Hmm
Explain why people have been charged with defamation before then?

Tigger001 · 04/09/2018 01:31

She's not doing herself any favours ...or is she ? We are all talking about her, and what will people remember from this years BB. If she is not punished does it fall into any publicity is good publicity.

Getting paid for her interviews, people want to know what all her traumatic stories are, so buy her book that will soon come out, then she will go on celeb counselling show, all is forgiven, back in the public eye for that drama role as everyone will have forgotten how it all stated with BB in 2018 lol

GunpowderGelatine · 04/09/2018 01:32

Have there? Can you show me please?

GunpowderGelatine · 04/09/2018 01:33

Well quite Tigger - I can't recall her last acting job, maybe she's trying another tact - reality show maybe? Either way she's not a stupid woman, she knows exactly what she's doing

Tigger001 · 04/09/2018 01:38

Yes there's clear intent as @rainbowsandsmiles has just shown the article where she had left another show where you have to survive on an desert island but was distressed by the means of keeping themselves warm and cooking was...wait for it....a camp fire !!!!

rainbowsandsmiles · 04/09/2018 01:40

Well, here's one for starters. A highly publicised one (although this was libel, not slander but still defamation of character.)

That last post was to gunpowder doubting that defamation of character wasn't an actual thing, by the way
