CBB 'punch' incident. Views?

Not sure about this as it is highly irritating to have someone jumping around you pretend to 'box' and he could have poked her by accident. She was in a car accident recently and could be tender there. Some could say she had a right to complain even though he was obviously not deliberately trying to hurt her.

The asking for him to be removed from the house (if she did that) and claims that he'd 'beaten her up' were a complete overreaction of though.

Can we please get back to the matter in hand
Its not about rape or how bad men are.

Its about a women lying about a domestic violence incident.

GunpowderGelatine · 03/09/2018 22:36

I didn't say that a CPS report had anything to do with CBB Confused it was in retaliation to the posters who've said false accusations aren't rare. The thread is allowed to digress.

And to answer your question if someone falsely accuses someone of anything - be it rape, assault, or burglary - they should be charged with perverting the course of justice. And they do get charged, and convicted. It's just rare that people do that, that's all.

GunpowderGelatine · 03/09/2018 22:37

I was obviously joking Mrs Thomas rainbow Wink

Exactly!! Certain posters are determined to make it so though. Absolutely fuck ALL to do with what the subject is about which is this Its about a women lying about a domestic violence incident.

Yep.

GabsAlot · 03/09/2018 22:59

shes done this before though-if it was a one off i might have had sympathehy stress or something but no shes a serial compuldive liar you cant cure that

50Running50 · 03/09/2018 23:05

Where's she gone bow?

50Running50 · 03/09/2018 23:05

*now!!

rainbowsandsmiles · 03/09/2018 23:07

@gabsalot yes, the people coming out saying she's done it before - if so, she's got form for it and that absolutely needed calling out.

TomHardysNextWife · 03/09/2018 23:22

Fair play to Emma Willis for that interview. She really didn't give an inch to Roxanne...........

As for Roxanne, it was still all about her. I don't think she's learned anything from this, she's the victim in her head and always will be. "My family are devastated for me". Seriously Hmm

GreenTulips · 03/09/2018 23:24

Emma was brilliant - great blank face

Tigger001 · 03/09/2018 23:43

@GunpowderGelatine surely slander is a crime ?

rainbowsandsmiles · 03/09/2018 23:50

@Tigger001 - very good point, deliberately setting out to defame someone's character is a crime. That's slander as you say.

GunpowderGelatine · 04/09/2018 00:05

It's a civil crime. Not a police matter.

GunpowderGelatine · 04/09/2018 00:07

And fairly hard to prove - if for example RT took RP to court over this I imagine her defence was that she DID feel abused and hurt by his actions. Also, he'd have to make a loss in order to sue her. For example, if he got sacked from the soap he's on (Corrie??) he would have to prove it was as a direct result of her slanderous actions. They're tough ones to win. But I doubt it will come to that! Slander cases with celebs are usually against newspapers printing inaccurate stories rather than other celebs

NaughtToThreeSadOnions · 04/09/2018 00:15

As for Roxanne, it was still all about her

I was coming on to say exactly that.

All the quotes ive seen are about HER, how She's the most hated woman in britan.
How shes feeling, how her careers suffered.

Also rainbow, not hard to prove, did he malisiosly hit her multiple times like a boxer hits a punch bag? No under no circmaces is that what happened

No you cant prove a feeling, what you can prove is she intentionally lied, repeatedly.

Mymycherrypie · 04/09/2018 00:17

I initially thought she was just a big bitch but... Having seen her interviews and hearing about her past accusations, I am now almost adamant that she has some kind of MN issue with her perception of events. A paranoia/altered perception/trouble recognising reality/her memory and recall aren’t good, she often fails to comprehend the situation and is lead by and feeds on whoever she’s speaking to. With Emma she entirely agreed she was wrong (although only seemed affected by the consequences to herself) and with Ben and the boys inside the house she fed back on their attention and so made her story bigger and badder.

The way her eyes narrow and she sits there just shaking her head. She needs professional help for her own sake and those around her. If I were alone with her, I would feel quite unsafe. She could accuse you of anything and not only believe that it happened but also sound completely plausible.

Tigger001 · 04/09/2018 00:19

@GunpowderGelatine yeah I think in this instance it would be reasonably straight forward to prove as she in fact lied about the facts of the incident with intent to harm his reputation, but very much doubt that it would be a route that will be taken.

rainbowsandsmiles · 04/09/2018 00:19

It's a civil crime. Not a police matter.

Defamation of character absolutely is a police matter, slander definitely is.

NaughtToThreeSadOnions · 04/09/2018 00:19

Sorry i didnt mean Rainbow, i meant geletine! Also when Corrie have sacked people before, chris fountain for example they've made a statekent explaining exactly why the actor was dismissed.

So the statement would be in light of accusatuons during ryan thomas's time in the big brother house we have decided to terminate his contract. That wont happen thank god cos they like the whole bloody nation can see what happened but it could have done and roxanne knew that she worked on a soap herself.

rainbowsandsmiles · 04/09/2018 00:20

Sorry, pressed too soon - so is libel. Both slander and libel is definitely a police matter.

rainbowsandsmiles · 04/09/2018 00:27

And fairly hard to prove - if for example RT took RP to court over this I imagine her defence was that she DID feel abused and hurt by his actions.
Maybe she did feel abused (by being danced around with mock punches thrown) but that does not explain or excuse that she consistently lied saying she was in pain from it all, he'd hit her like a punchbag.... then try to get everyone doubting him.
Slander, tarnishing his reputation for no reason at all.

Also, he'd have to make a loss in order to sue her.
Not true at all, people can make defamation of character cases of libel/slander with no reference to earnings at all. Sometimes people have a case for slander/libel when earnings don't come into it at all.

Tigger001 · 04/09/2018 00:29

@GunpowderGelatine it does not have to be a claim of loss of earnings to gain a judgement in slander or libel cases, he could go for £1 on punitive damages just for the principle of her despicable behaviour.

GunpowderGelatine · 04/09/2018 00:29

I can promise you they're not a criminal matter. As previously stated I studied law at Uni so I do know what I'm talking about.
