Yes. Booked a villa in Tuscany but haven’t booked flights yet. We’re not sure whether to fly or drive.

WickedGoodDoge · 28/08/2018 15:10

We’ve booked a week in St Lucia at the end of May for our 20th wedding anniversary (same place as honeymoon) and I have booked the kennels for two weeks in Oct 2019 though I haven’t booked the actual holiday yet! We know where we’re going but booking doesn’t open until Nov.

BartholinsSister · 28/08/2018 15:12

Which website do you use to book flights a year in advance?

Ta1kinpeace · 28/08/2018 15:34

I'm not booking anything after March 29th until I've seen official confirmation of the the method the UK will use to stay inside OpenSkies

scaryteacher · 28/08/2018 16:02

No holidays next year as we'll be packing to move back to the UK - yay!!!

anotherangel2 · 28/08/2018 16:05

No, will hopefully be too pregnant to go on holiday.

TheNumberfaker · 28/08/2018 16:13

Not booking any flights until we have more certainty about what’s happening with Brexit.

LoveManyTrustfew · 28/08/2018 16:18

Waiting for BA to release the flights, to Malaga, for the last two weeks in August.

Minniemountain · 28/08/2018 16:20

I will as soon as I can confirm the AL with work (currently signed off sick). We'll be going to Pembrokeshire for 2 weeks.

Sitranced · 28/08/2018 16:21

Yep, Sorrento June 2019. Portugal Aug 2020 and Peru Dec 2020.

Satsumaeater · 28/08/2018 16:22

No, booked the week off work that I want but am also waiting to see what's gong on with flights and visa requirements after March 2019.

BikeRunSki · 28/08/2018 16:22

I need my AL from work approved, but inns nervous about Open Skies, so we’ll probably go to Scotland for the 7th holiday running.

GhostsToMonsoon · 28/08/2018 16:34

Yes - to the cottages in Devon that DH's extended family have been going to for about the last 14 years. They usually book next year's holiday before going on the current year's. Many cottages do book up well in advance.

ineedwine99 · 28/08/2018 16:35

Yep booked Mexico for May and have a US itinerary for next Oct for when things are available :-)

Sirzy · 28/08/2018 16:36

Week in Weymouth booked for summer 2019

Will be hopefully booking summer 2020 in the next couple of weeks

BitchQueen90 · 28/08/2018 16:46

Yes and I will be booking 2020 within the next few days. I get set holidays at work so I always know when I'll be off.

GandolfBold · 28/08/2018 17:33

Are people really putting of booking a holiday because of Brexit?

Ta1kinpeace · 28/08/2018 17:40

Gandolf
Yup.
Because if it goes pear shaped on OpenSkies your insurer will not cover you (exclusions for Government Action) when the flights cannot take off.

Other people may be able to afford to buy flights which may not happen.
I cant.
I'm happier to wait till I know what is happening.

HolidayModeMum · 28/08/2018 17:47

I booked direct with British Airways. I'm confident that the open skies issue will be sorted by August.

taraplus · 28/08/2018 17:51

Yes we have, a week at Haven jn Hopton during Easter holidays then a week in August to Malta. Have never been this organised before.

user1489094655 · 28/08/2018 17:57

Yep, 6 days at Disney Paris, Newport Bay in May 2019.
We can afford one holiday abroad, rest will be camping throughout Spring, Summer and Autumn in England.

IStillMissBlockbuster · 28/08/2018 18:02

Yeah, i'll hold off on booking flights within Europe until Brexit is sorted. I'd love to book my summer holiday (outside Europe) but haven't the headspace at the moment.

Chrisinthemorning · 28/08/2018 18:06

Yes - booked June and July. I am nervous about Brexit, which is why I made my Dad who voted leave stick it on his credit card. I’ll pay him back when all’s ok.
I’m punishing him Grin

Ta1kinpeace · 28/08/2018 18:07

Istillmiss
You know that its ALL flights in and out of the UK that are covered by OpenSkies, not just to and from Europe.

If there is a break in cover, nothing will take off or land.
That is why Heathrow have a contingency to be able to close for up to two months.

MeetOnTheLedge · 28/08/2018 18:17

Not booked yet as we need to confirm dates for something else first but we know where we're planning to go and its in the UK (Northumberland). We're not prepared to book flights until the Brexit situation is resolved.
