What are you having for dinner?

We're having roast beef, roast potatoes, Yorkshire's, cauliflower cheese, carrot and swede mash, green beans, peas and sweetcorn. Can't wait (especially as most of it is a cheat from M&S as we're having a lazy day). First day in months that calls for a massive roast with melt in the middle chocolate sponge for pudding. 😋

What are you all having?

OP posts:

Steak and chips with peas or salad. Tiramisu for dessert.

Agentornika · 26/08/2018 16:29

Roast lamb, roast potatoes, parsnips, broccoli, sprouts, carrot & swede, gravy, Yorkshire pudding, mint sauce. Followed by Apple crumble and custard.

DP is cooking it as we speak, he does a good roast

youngestisapsycho · 26/08/2018 16:29

That sounds lovely.... we’re going to local Persian restaurant for chicken kebabs, rice and salad. Mum is cooking us a roast tomorrow 😁

MEANT to be having chicken Kiev but DD and I keep taste testing the slow cooker fudge we're making so might be cheese and biscuits!

champagnesupernouveaux · 26/08/2018 16:32

Pizza. DH is going out, and I could eat pasta with the kids earlier, but I really fancy a proper night in alone, so waiting until they go to bed to eat.

AdaColeman · 26/08/2018 16:32

Salmon steak baked with herb butter, ice cream for pudding. Wine Wine

wherehavealltheflowersgone · 26/08/2018 16:35

Well it was going to be macaroni cheese but after reading the OP I'm going out to buy the ingredients for a roast dinner! Easily influenced

LaGattaNera · 26/08/2018 16:35

Didn't have lunch so had an early dinner - 2 slices wholemeal toast, one with marmite and baked beans on and the other with sauted mushrooms and grated cheddar (I cannot eat the cheese if on the beans!) and I really enjoyed it.

LBOCS2 · 26/08/2018 16:39

Roast chicken. And... stuff. I haven't got any further than bunging the chicken in the oven tbh.

Babybearsporij · 26/08/2018 16:40

Soup and crackers at work.

AgathaRaisinsCat · 26/08/2018 16:46

2Slices... - slow cooker fudge!!!! Why have I never heard of this? Off to consult Google...

AgathaRaisinsCat · 26/08/2018 16:47

Dinner is short ribs of beef and mash. Moving on to winter comfort food it would appear.

LtGreggs · 26/08/2018 16:54

Crispy chicken wraps - shamelessly because I had a McDonald's wrap for the first time last week and it was delicious Grin I won't tell DH that it's a fakeaway, but will tell the kids...

Crumble from our glut of garden fruit & the first apples to follow.

FuckyDuzz · 26/08/2018 16:56

Gammon, grilled pineapple, fried eggs, chips & peas
Brownies and ice cream for pudding

CoffeebyIV · 26/08/2018 16:59

Roast pork, cracking, roast potatoes and parsnips, cabbage & bacon, broccoli & cauliflower and lots of gravy. Can not wait for this!

RemusLupinsBiggestGroupie · 26/08/2018 16:59

Please tell us more about slow cooker fudge.

We're having veggie sausages, Aunt Bessies Yorkies, roasted potatoes, onions, mushrooms and peppers, and I'm going to try making some sort of red wine reduction to drizzle decoratively/slather over it all.

Methe · 26/08/2018 17:00

Roast beef with mash and yorkies, carrots runner beans and peas. Plumb crumble and custard for pudding.

Bluesheep8 · 26/08/2018 17:00

Winter food here too,it's cold and rainy in the west Yorkshire Pennines. Chicken pie, mash, red cabbage and green beans with gravy. Will try to forget the McDonald's for lunch!

BarryTheKestrel · 26/08/2018 17:02

Steak pie with roast potatoes, carrots, peas, leeks and especially for DD Yorkshire puddings.

I'm very excited for it!
