What are you having for dinner?

We're having roast beef, roast potatoes, Yorkshire's, cauliflower cheese, carrot and swede mash, green beans, peas and sweetcorn. Can't wait (especially as most of it is a cheat from M&S as we're having a lazy day). First day in months that calls for a massive roast with melt in the middle chocolate sponge for pudding. 😋

What are you all having?

Takeaway; Indian or Chinese to be decided.

@AgathaRaisinsCat and @RemusLupinsBiggestGroupie
Slow Cooker Fudge:
350g cheapo chocolate
2tbsp vanilla extract
2 tbsp butter
Can condensed milk
Chuck in slow cooker on low. NO LID (hence house smells gorgeous). Stir every 15 minutes with a metal spoon for 90 minutes. And then pour into a lined dish to chill. This is the point we have reached.... but the fudge might not make it into the fridge.....

I want Barry's dinner!

We're having Vietnamese Caramelised Pork bowls with spicy chips. Which is nice but it's no steak pie and roast tatties!

Thanks, Toast. It sounds brilliant.

We have just sat down after arriving home from holiday & spent the whole plane ride home trying to decide what we all wanted.
What we all wanted was a roast but what weve all got is Italian takeaway - roast tomorrow

Camomila · 26/08/2018 17:23

Fusilli with ragu. Maybe a glass of wine if we've got any red wine in the cupboard.

Crunchymum · 26/08/2018 17:24

Was meant to be a roast but DP had finally decided to paint the living room and has moved a tonne of shite into the kitchen.

So it's a takeaway for us. Not sure whether to do the kids an omelette and get us a nice Mezze for 2 or shall I get Dominos for us all? Decisions, decisions.

I'm currently cooking a roast with beef and all the trimmings and sipping rosé wine whilst I'm at it

DwangelaForever · 26/08/2018 17:54

Smokey chicken pasta, may even have a melt in the middle desert for pudding 🙊

CarolDanvers · 26/08/2018 17:56

Pasta with roast vegetables and pesto followed by M&S chocolate fudge cake.

cliffdiver · 26/08/2018 18:04

We had lasagne, as requested by DDs.

I didn't particularly enjoy making or eating it - wish we had a roast.

weegiemum · 26/08/2018 18:09

We usually have a roast on Sunday evening, but today is mil's birthday and she's staying here this weekend so we are going out for dinner at a rather nice restaurant! Hooray for not having to cook!

Grumpbum123 · 26/08/2018 18:15

2 chocolate digestives I’m not hungry might have a hot chocolate to accompany it

Nononononono33 · 26/08/2018 18:18

Chinese takeaway. Mmm salt and chilli wings and bbq spare ribs...

BlueGlasses · 26/08/2018 18:35

Hairy Dieters Spanish Chicken. It was lush.

JustHereForThePooStories · 26/08/2018 19:10

A rare roast. Don’t do them often as it’s a lot of faff for just two people, but was in the mood today.

Had roast chicken with wild garlic and lemon
Stuffing
Roasties
Potato croquettes (rules of the roast dictate you must have two types of potato)
Tender stem broccoli

It was lovely.

Either meringue or lemon tart for dessert.

BitchQueen90 · 26/08/2018 19:15

Roast chicken for us.

legoqueen · 26/08/2018 19:18

Shepherd's Pie with lots of veg on the side. Comfort food required in West Yorkshire!

HeyMicky · 26/08/2018 19:21

DH is away so I'm having spicy chicken wings and champagne and inappropriate amounts of cheese

AgathaRaisinsCat · 26/08/2018 20:31

2slices, thanks. Will give it a go.

MamaHechtick · 26/08/2018 20:39

Had a half arsed roast. Chicken breasts, aunt Bessie's duck fat roast potatoes (we didn't like these but DC's loved them) Yorkshire pudding, carrots, broccoli and gravy. Brownies and ice cream for after.

PhilomenaButterfly · 26/08/2018 20:40

We had Thai green chicken curry.

Proseccoagain · 26/08/2018 21:35

On my own now since DH died, but I do like a roast, had roast chicken leg, roast potatoes, peas and gravy, plus a home-made Yorkshire pudding from a Mary Berry recipe I batch cooked and froze. Washed down with a chilled white wine, yummy.

ChipsAndKetchup · 26/08/2018 22:16

Chicken casserole with dumplings & veg.
Pineapple upside down cake for pud. Delicious!
