Where the fuck would you hide the amazon remote?!!! I've turned the house upside down! I know she was doing it to annoy her older sister....

Under the fridge
Down the back of a radiator
And a favourite in my house...in a random bag full of other random toys inside a random toy box with a dolly blanket on top!

slightly derailing the thread here, but thanks @Wittow for the tip off about the app. I've just installed it on my phone and I'm in the house on my own so have tested it out.

Looking forward to winding up my teenage dd next time she's hogs the TV with one of her rubbish shows. Hee hee hee Grin

Quangot · 24/08/2018 18:47

Any luck yet OP?

WeBuiltThisBuffetOnSausageRoll · 24/08/2018 19:04

If it makes you feel any better, when I was 5, I hid the (locked) front door key somewhere unfindable whilst we were all inside. The house was uo for sale and we had people coming to view it.

Being 5, I had no appreciation of just how mortified my parents must have been. Neither do I know whether the prospective purchasers who were warmly welcomed and invited to come in through the living room window were sufficiently impressed to proceed with the purchase....

Wittow · 24/08/2018 19:09

@cariadlet happy to help Grin I found out about the app when
I had lost the Amazon fire remote myself, had bundled it up in the changed duvet and put into washing machine.... Shock

Strawberrybelly · 24/08/2018 19:14

Our sofa is black so we're always losing ours down the sides. Dd's first hiding place is her dolls house, then shoes, bags and inside the seat of her truck.

I have downloaded the app to my phone now because it's always getting lost. Dp just annoyed me moaning when I asked him to throw up Dd's teddy so I paused the tv on my phone then pressed play a few seconds later. All I could hear was him saying buffering on you tube in an incredulous voice. I'm up here laughing to myself. I can't let him know it was me because he will do it to me and that will be really annoying.

Wrapped in a doll’s blanket/bit of paper and shoved in the doll’s pram.

SheGotBetteDavisEyes · 24/08/2018 19:45

Ugg boot
Wellies
Seconding doll's pram, wrapped up like a baby. I found a courgette like that a few months ago.

Reaa · 24/08/2018 19:46

In my shoe

Redyoyo · 24/08/2018 19:50

I have 2 girls they hide everything in a bag! I spent an hour last week looking for a pink unicorn squishy it was in a dolls pram bag!

Sophisticatedsarcasm · 24/08/2018 20:21

In one of bags or backpacks.... generally that’s where my dd hides stuff as she has so many, you don’t know where to look first 🤔

Scotinoz · 24/08/2018 20:28

In a bag! I have 3 and 4 year old girls, and 90% of missing items are found in a bag!

ShabbyNat · 24/08/2018 22:45

elvislives2012 have you found it yet???

elvislives2012 · 25/08/2018 08:49

No I bloody haven't!!!

The bin. My four year old...everything in the bin (he’s 18 now) 😊

I have a dog who’s taken over now. She secretes stuff in the magazine basket in the lounge. I find socks, scrunchies, envelopes and sweetie wrapper in the magazine rack!

Do let us know, when you find it?

kateandme · 25/08/2018 12:07

bribery.first to find the remote gets a prize.

Clawdy · 25/08/2018 12:30

kateandme that's what I said too.

NewName54321 · 25/08/2018 13:17

Depends on her motive. If she says she's hidden it so only she can use it then it will be where her other precious belongings live. In her bed? Doll's bed? Or with new belongings that haven't been used yet, e.g. school bag or winter coat. Give her something else to put in the best hiding place she can find and follow her to see where that is.

If she says she's hidden it so it's gone forever then it will be behind or under a piece of furniture or in the bin.

If she's dropped it by mistake then it could be anywhere. Possibly where she went to pick up or do the next thing she wanted but got distracted so toybox, fridge or toilet.

brizzledrizzle · 25/08/2018 15:42

Inside a pair of school shoes.
