What was it like?

I've applied to be on two, and I'm nervous!

Ooo watching. There is one I'd love to be on but I don't do anything well whilst being watched and feel like a prat for getting stuff wrong in front of people so I'd probably to very badly. Especially as I have a massive crush on the host so I'd end up like a giggling school girl.

SneakyGremlins · 22/08/2018 12:24

Is it the chase? Grin

Got to be the chase Grin

I know someone who went on deal or no deal. He did really well, but he was on it for weeks on end!!

I'd love to go on one but it would have to be an easy one, I'd be shit on the chase haha!!

serbska · 22/08/2018 12:38

My friend was on the weakest link, he won just under a grand.

GrouchyKiwi · 22/08/2018 12:41

DH was on University Challenge. They started off well but then were overtaken by the very serious team they were up against.

Filming was fun. Paxman was exactly as you'd expect.

ChellySmuff · 22/08/2018 12:42

A friends mum won £60,000 on DoND.

My sister was on fun house.

I want to go on pointless but no one will apply with me 😩

eddiemairswife · 22/08/2018 12:45

'Ask the Family' with Robert Robinson. We won the series.

LadyBaneGrey · 22/08/2018 12:46

I was on the Chase a few years ago. It was brilliant fun and I won Grin

Bradley is absolutely awesome, loved him and I was up against the Sinnerman who was also really lovely. I’m so glad I did it even though I was so nervous - sweated buckets and shakey legs Confused

Kaydogsdinner · 22/08/2018 12:48

My sister was on blockbusters years ago, she was in the duo, not the single player. they both did the gold runs and won (she got the last question exactly on zero ( it was nail biting!) , got a trip to New Zealand and some other prizes. She was quite funny as she's very animated and was a bit crap with the buzzer but she did great and really enjoyed it

SneakyGremlins · 22/08/2018 19:44

Lady The Chase is one of the ones I've applied for - I want to go up against Anne!

GoofyIsACow · 22/08/2018 19:47

I was on Carpark Catchphrase with Chris Moyles years ago, i won.
I enjoyed it but i remember they kept muting me to make jokes...

UrsulaPandress · 22/08/2018 19:48

My friend was on The Chase.

Ginorchoc · 22/08/2018 19:51

No put I’d love to go on tipping point!

AspieHere · 22/08/2018 20:06

Mine isn't The Chase Grin, I've never actually seen that.

I wish you could do it without the audience being there. I'd be fine then as it's only the cameras which you don't look at.

violet0805 · 22/08/2018 20:07

Someone I know won 1p on Deal Or No Deal!

Desmondo2016 · 22/08/2018 20:07

I went on Countdown if that counts! It was a good experience!

Lightsonthewater · 22/08/2018 20:10

I know a bloke who went on wheel of fortune. And I heard a tale of a bloke whose short stay with his friends family stretched out. It got to the point that when the mum would ask when he was leaving, he’d reply “Beans on toast please”. He eventually left and the dad’s suit went missing. Next week when the lad turned up on wheel of fortune wearing it. Not the same lad Grin

Lightsonthewater · 22/08/2018 20:11

My bro in law was on blockbusters and my boyfriend in 6th form won the 5th gold run

AlbusPercival · 22/08/2018 20:13

DH went on one. He won a grand and had a laugh so a good day out.

SneakyGremlins · 22/08/2018 20:14

I've applied for Tipping point and the chase. I'm also quite good at countdown when I play at home!

ProfYaffle · 22/08/2018 20:14

Friend of mine was on Catchphrase. Didn't win anything but got his mug on telly which was the whole point for him!

iklboo · 22/08/2018 20:15

I've been on Pointless. We got through to the final but didn't get a pointless answer. It went down to TWO. That was so nerve wracking & disappointing.

Alexander Armstrong & Richard Osman were lovely and really chatty through filming. I still have my trophy in pride of place by the TV.

NapQueen · 22/08/2018 20:17

A work colleague was on Weakest Link. Anne "doesnt meet contestants prior as she likes to maintain the persona". When the players voted him off one said "because he was in my eye line". Anne responded "hard not to be" - bigger guy. Cheeky cow!

JamesDelayneysTattoos · 22/08/2018 20:23

I was on No Win, no fee with Paul Ross 17 years ago. I didn’t win.
