Do you know anyone that had a room redecorate by "Changing rooms"?

The episode of the smashed teapots just popped into my head and i went on a wee google changing room rampage. Some -most- of the designs are so shit and I've just seen some up close pictures of the work and it's horrendous.

Just wondered if any of you had appeared on it and what was the outcome? Did you love it, hate it? Did they restore things if they were shit?

Omg I would be murderous if someone did that to my dining table. Why? Just why would you do that?!

On the subject of LLB, I always admired his ability to paint without dipping his shirt cuffs in the pot.

@HouseOfSix I can't stop laughing Grin

PIL have some friends who were on Changing Rooms. The woman made the designer cry she was so blunt about how awful what they had done was. She is quite a formidable character but actually very nice and does a lot for the community.

LLB is now a judge on an Aussie programme, "House Rules".
I actually love him on it, he is very funny.

When I opened YouTube yesterday it opened on a changing rooms mash up of the home owners reactions. It was so bad! I copied the link and then got distracted with all the "up next' videos that i completely forgot to paste the link here and now i cant find it :(
However, i did watch a few and the owners were delighted!

I do remember it being repeated a good few years ago and the very first series being about the neighbours designing for each other.
One of the early ones was an Indian couple and a very straight laced ‘Laura Ashley’ type white couple.
The Indian couple decorated the other couples house in a very Indian style, lots of bright colours and gold. The designer didn’t offer and design tips just said how to do certain things and achieve certain effects.
The ‘country cottage’ couple didn’t seem to like their Indian style room.
