Just that really. My mobile is dead and I’m considering switching providers. Cheers!

I’ve been with EE for 15 years and they’ve been great.

I recently changed to a new contract and because I’ve been with them for so long they gave me a £24.99 a month contract for £9.99 (6Gb data, unlimited calls ans texts). I like the fact I can give spare data to DS, who never has enough!

I use GIff Gaff for my work phone though, because I drop to a cheaper goody bag over the summer when I’m not working.

EE, my contract ends in November and I can't wait to leave, my contract is extortionate even with family and friends discount, and the £2-£3 insurance they sold me turned out to be costing £9 Angry

Sorry to hijack the thread slightly but can I ask all giffgaff users, DP has just switched to giffgaff and bought his first goody bag. Is there no DD set up as you can switch whenever you want? When your data runs out do you just buy a new goody bag and pay that same day? I'm confused by how it all works Blush

Giff Gaff let you know by text and email when your goody bag is due to run out. You can fix your settings to default to the same one every month but even if you do, you can still change to a different one if you do it in time.

They are really great at keeping you informed and they recommend a different goody bag based on the previous month’s usage.

If your data runs out with Giff Gaff you can top it up. Just download the app and do everything there - it’s very easy.

Im going to join the giff gaff chorus here.

Have a look on their site it lools a bit complicated due to their wording but actually its fine.. I have been with them for 4 years now. You dont have to buy a phone of them and there is no minumum contract months.

however you can set up a loan for a phone over x amount of time. Then add your "goodybag" every month. I currently am on 7.50 a month. Ds (age 16) is on their ublimited for this month due to 3 festivals but will go back down tp his normal 15 next month. Dd3 and 2 are both on 12 a month

I love the flex they give you to check if you use the right amount each month and if you run out early you can choose to start early or simply wait it out..

Their customer service has been great when I have needed it

@tuckingfypo

No DD no but it does take automatically from my debit card number so I do not need to go in and pay each month. That is automatic. However I can change what card I use up to the day before and as said earlier they text you to let you know usage.. mine looked like this this month

Your goodybag expires on 10/08/2018. You may want to change your recurring goodybag as we recommend the £7.50 goodybag for you. Nice one.

I had upped the month before and gone back down again this month.

Enko · 18/08/2018 09:47

Forgot to say you can also switch off recurring then you would have to go and pay each time

NotSoThinLizzy · 18/08/2018 10:16

I'm with sky mobile atm. Signal here only works for vodaphone and EE. O2 is rubbish here. Can't recommend sky enough. If you have sky tv the price is reduced too

tuckingfypo · 18/08/2018 17:07

@Enko thank you so much, that's made it so much clearer! I'm going to switch to giffgaff myself as, for once, my phone is still in really good condition! Can't wait to say bugger off to EE Grin
