If you have a favourite tea, what is it?

This may not be the most exciting Mumsnet topic but I need your help please.

I need some inspiration. I'm looking to buy some new (to me) loose tea blends. I'm happy to order online. I haven't had a great new tea in a while. To make things really exciting, I might even order a new teapot.

If you have a favourite tea, please tell me what it is, and where you get it from?

Fortnums smoked Earl grey

Most things from here: www.charteas.com/

I love Whittard’s English Garden Rose.

Failing that, any kind of Assam loose leaf usually hits the spot!

T2 monk pear. French Earl Grey, gen ma cha sencha and chocolate chip Chai (made with almond milk) is also good from there.

I've settled on Marks and Spencer Extra Strong tea bags for home and Waitrose Gold Extra Strong at the office.

Darjeeling or Keemun served with only a teardrop of skimmed milk or none at all

FusionChefGeoff · 15/08/2018 22:44

Darjeeling here too - but I do like a smoky Lapsan Soochan on occasion- just can't spell it!!!

MsRinky · 15/08/2018 22:55

Smoked earl grey 😍 I must find!

37KAT · 15/08/2018 23:02

Check out birdandblendtea.com/uk_en/
Otherwise it has to be Yorkshire tea.

OliviaStabler · 15/08/2018 23:25

Ceylon. Best tea ever.

RedTulip86 · 15/08/2018 23:26

Tesco Finest Earl Grey is the most aromatic EG I ever came across
Lapsang s... lovely for autumn and winter smokey tea.
Rooibos- honey smelling and tasting.

beela · 15/08/2018 23:27

Another vote for the golden monkey tea company - pistachio and almond tea, or rainbow rooibos.

ILoveMyDressingGown · 15/08/2018 23:52

Tea pigs everyday brew

MervynBunter · 15/08/2018 23:56

Assam or Darjeeling. Avoid Redbush - it's vile.

IncyWincyGrownUp · 16/08/2018 00:30

Ceylon for a refreshing cup, Assam for one that will kick you up the arse and make you get on with life. Orange Pekoe wasn’t too bad either. I do like earl grey, but some just don’t taste quite right.
