If you have a favourite tea, what is it?

This may not be the most exciting Mumsnet topic but I need your help please.

I need some inspiration. I'm looking to buy some new (to me) loose tea blends. I'm happy to order online. I haven't had a great new tea in a while. To make things really exciting, I might even order a new teapot.

If you have a favourite tea, please tell me what it is, and where you get it from?

New York breakfast tea from T2

Mumshotel · 18/08/2018 20:21

Nothing better than Yorkshire tea for me. From Gods own country.

LunaLovegoodsRadishes · 18/08/2018 20:30

Glengettie Welsh leaf tea from Ocado. It’s strong builders tea and tastes proper. I have found market leaders like PG Tips to increasingly lack the punch.

Stump teapot. Trumper teas.

I have a thing for mint+lemon verbena tea after having it in France (verveine menthe) and mixed my own from Trumper's loose teas as I could not find it in the UK . Although have just discovered Sainsbury's do tea bags of it.

Everyday : Yorkshire tea.

Teapigs liquorice and mint if I'm feeling flush, otherwise Twinnings earl grey for everyday

BrynhildurWhitemane · 18/08/2018 21:11

I find licorice a bit too much in tea (but can eat loads..) although I do like the chamomile and honey I got from Aldi.

Another vote for birdandblendtea.com/uk_en/

Some of my favourites
Chocolate digestive
Terry tea
Butter brew (that one will be going soon, pity, it's lush!)
Monkey chops (it sounds weird, but is so good)

And they sometimes write a little note with the order, which i think is lovely.

Irish blend. It has got to be Irish tea.

I live in England so the only option is lyons quickbrew which is always 50% extra free and available only in budgens (cost 2.60 for 160 teabags). Have even converted my friends.

I drink red bush tea all of the time,it's only from Lidl but I love the taste.

Twinings salted caramel green tea tastes amazing as well,I tried it at Key gardens and I could drink it all of the time now.

I came here to say Russian Caravan but see StandardPoodle beat me too it!

IncyWincyGrownUp · 18/08/2018 23:18

Russian Caravan is a cracking brew. I’ve not had it for years though as we don’t have a Whittard’s any more.

BikeRunSki · 18/08/2018 23:20

I was going to say “Jacket potato with cheese and beans, the. Apple crumble and custard”. But fir tea you drink.., Yorkshire Tea is my go-to everyday tea; Earl Grey is my occasional treat/going out tea and I don’t know what it is, but I really like the teabags you sometimes get in Graze boxes.

joystir59 · 18/08/2018 23:25

Tesco decaffeinated earl grey, just show the tea bag to the water. No milk.

CabotCoveMaine · 19/08/2018 07:39
