(But tentatively looking forward to autumn.)

I felt a bit less sweaty than last time. Hot and muggy here today. Supposed to be 17 and rainy here tomorrow, though! Hurrah!

I am genuinely interested where the plus 25c temps are in the U.K. Today as I can't see any

HelenaDove · 20/08/2018 19:39

No but a flat thats too hot exacerbates DHS COPD

HelenaDove · 20/08/2018 19:40

its 24 here 28 in my flat.

Yesterdayizdone1 · 20/08/2018 19:41

Dhs ?

Yesterdayizdone1 · 20/08/2018 19:49

Where is the autumn/winter thread as I think I'll go over there instead

FurryDice · 20/08/2018 19:52

Seriously, peeps. I’d ignore the antagonist if I were you. Its motivation is quite clear.

OP posts:
Yesterdayizdone1 · 20/08/2018 19:53

Yes I've been ignoring it to

Hercy · 20/08/2018 19:56

There you go. 25c. Feels like 29c.

But it wouldn't have mattered if it was 19c and I found it too hot, the whole point of this thread is to whinge about the heat when it gets too much FOR YOU, as in, it's completely subjective.

FurryDice · 20/08/2018 19:57

So anyway...

I hope Becca is OK. Becca, if you’re reading but not posting, thinking of you Flowers

SW hit 25 today and combined with being as muggy as fuck has rendered me nauseous again. Sympathies again for those living in greenhouses. My poorly insulated and breezy house has plateaued at 23, which I'm a bit pissed off with as being too warm, but I'm keeping it in perspective that some of you (Furry, Lighthouse, Becca etc) are suffering way more with stupidly awful temperatures.

I just want to be cold again, if only for the novelty value. I think I was so excited about the heat wave subsiding, I forgot we've still got another month+ of summer to endure.

Yesterdayizdone1 · 20/08/2018 20:28

At least it's not as hot though

Notlostjustexploring · 20/08/2018 20:39

Misery due to the heat, be it 25, 35 or (please never) 45, is still misery nonetheless.

This, in spades, Notlost. I’m just so bored with it all now, too.

(And thanks)

Night all
May tomorrow be cooler

You're the captain of these threads remember, Furry!! I can't think about the heat without feeling horror at your greenhouse home!!

I also don't think you should underestimate the support this thread has offered us all, and how grateful we all are for starting them all! Especially as I seem to be surrounded by people in real life who love 30+

hugoagogo · 20/08/2018 20:59

Exactly, yes I am grateful my bedroom is only 23° and not 30° but it's still too hot! Today was ridiculously humid, it's been months.
I don't know if it's just the heat, or if school holidays are a factor, but every year I feel so run down and depressed in August, then September comes and a weight lifts.
Normality, routine, sleep, a comfortable temperature and some time to myself.
It can't come too soon.

FurryDice · 20/08/2018 21:15

I feel like I’ve lost my Captainy Mojo lately, as the relentless summer grinds on.

I’m grateful to all thread denizens too, or it would have just been me on here screaming into the void!

hugoagogo · 21/08/2018 08:09

Dreading another sweaty day at work today, it's embarrassing and uncomfortable.
I know it'll be worse for some, especially you furry I was in your neck of the woods recently and know how bad it can get.
Thursday night is supposed to be 9° - I am clinging to that.

Yesterdayizdone1 · 21/08/2018 08:24
