It’s a proper gift of a shopping list. You’re welcome. Grin

So firstly, can you guess which supermarket it was?....

Dog ham?

Ham for the dog?

That list has Waitrose written all over it.

OtherUsername · 13/08/2018 21:17

Definitely Waitrose!

AnotherOriginalUsername · 13/08/2018 21:18

Nice slim bread and cooking wine? Definitely Waitrose. Or the other one if you're up north. Booths or whatever it is.

(I buy dog ham and dog sausages - im vegetarian but he has his medication in them!)

ShirleyPhallus · 13/08/2018 21:19

The coke reference suggests wanker bankers in central London on a Thursday night tbh

tinatsarina · 13/08/2018 21:20

Nice pasta??

poppym12 · 13/08/2018 21:20

what's with the 'nice' items? Is this a special occasion and usually they buy really vile pasta and bread?

FawnDrench · 13/08/2018 21:22

The writing deteriorates down the list doesn't it - drank too much Bolly before being chauffeured to Harrods obvs...

MujosMama · 13/08/2018 21:23

Who the fuck writes a shopping list all over the page like that??

LunchBoxPolice · 13/08/2018 21:23

What a disjointed list. Lots of nice stuff though.

YourMilkshakeIsBetterThanMine · 13/08/2018 21:23

Salmon has been underscored a lot. It must be really important. I bet they have a recipe planned involving very important salmon with nice pasta. Not with cooking red though, that'd be rank.

YourMilkshakeIsBetterThanMine · 13/08/2018 21:24

mujos it's in aisle order.

Petalflowers · 13/08/2018 21:24

It almost looks like two lists, one for everyday stuff, and one for the posh event. Hence ‘nice’ stuff.

claracluck78 · 13/08/2018 21:25

They can't spell Pancetta wherever they shop!

Piggyhoolier · 13/08/2018 21:25

Ooh I can’t tolerate the bizarre way she spreads items across the list with random spare lines and using both sides but with no apparent pattern or method!

Was the list for her own use or had she written it for her DH 🤔 who is probably mid sixties and named Derek, wears cords in shades of mustard and rust and works as an antique dealer.

Gah, I’m over invested in this Blush

Strawberrybelly · 13/08/2018 21:27

I think waitrose too or m&s. Far too many nices going on there.

CurlsLDN · 13/08/2018 21:27

piggy or perhaps a man wrote it?

LoudBatPerson · 13/08/2018 21:27

I would guess Waitrose. Won the list maker shopping there to get some "nice" bits for a little evening gathering they are having.

FannyCornforth · 13/08/2018 21:29

Dogs shouldn't eat ham! It's very bad for them! They cannot process the high salt content.

BarbaraofSevillle · 13/08/2018 21:30

If you read it from the bottom up, it's laid out like the supermarket. So you enter the supermarket and get to the fruit and veg first. Carry straight on through the fruit and veg to the meat.

Bread is in the middle at the back, jars and pasta etc right in the middle, deoderant over in the far corner and then back down to the tills vias the drinks aisles.

Makes perfect sense to me.

hormonalhorrorshow · 13/08/2018 21:31

Two different hands, look at "e"s

TheOnlyLivingBoyInNewCross · 13/08/2018 21:32

All the “nice” food. Does anyone write a list that says “shit ham”, “crap bread”, “mediocre pasta”? Grin

Piggyhoolier · 13/08/2018 21:33

I thought the handwriting was feminine but actually looking again I think this is a list of 2 halves as in 2 different hand have contributed - coke, cooking red & possibly Dove anti have been written by someone else. I’ll bet that’s Derek. Whilst Jean has done all the ‘nice’ this & that.

GrumpyCatIsMySpiritAnimal · 13/08/2018 21:38

Dog ham etc, could be hamburgers/hotdogs etc for a BBQ.

Yes, I’m overthinking this.

AnotherOriginalUsername · 13/08/2018 21:43

@TheOnlyLivingBoyInNewCross I have been known to specify "cheap nasty white bread" on my shopping list (purely for toasting and eating laden with chocolate spread. Takes me back to my student days)

Brendatheblender · 13/08/2018 21:43

Do Waitrose well shit ham and crap pasta though?

I think maybe a Sainsbury’s shop, the “nice” bits are so they don’t pick up anything from the basic range
