It’s a proper gift of a shopping list. You’re welcome. Grin

So firstly, can you guess which supermarket it was?....

10 points for those who guessed Waitrose Grin

I also thought it was written by her for him, hence having to spell out “don’t buy that shit bread that you usually bring home when you do the shopping!!”

The dog ham literally made me laugh out loud when I saw it - I’d gone back to my car but I had second thoughts and had to to return to the trolley bay to retrieve it!

I do spread my list out like that when I can be arsed to write one so it’s grouped in fridge stuff, store cupboard bits etc

I’ll keep an eye out for Derek next time I’m there and see if can surreptitiously photograph him in his mustard cords.

Nice bread and also slim nice bread. Is the first one large and bulky?

Also: Salmon. It's very important. Grin

Piggyhoolier · 13/08/2018 21:53

I was going to post a pic of my current list but it’s written in blunt-but-can’t-find-sharpener pencil and has a very tragic assortment of items and I think you’ll all savage me for being unimaginative in my shopping so I’d best leave well alone. Maybe one day I too shall have a list with salmon triple underlined. It’s something to aspire to Grin

MyRelationshipIsWeird · 13/08/2018 21:54

Well I looked at some salmon, it was too bloody expensive so I’m having apple pie for my dinner instead Grin

Dog ham is the best thing I have ever seen on a shopping list! Imagine the life that dog leads! BlushGrin

InterstellarSleepingElla · 13/08/2018 21:59

I do like a shopping list thread! Without reading the thread I reckon Waitrose.

poppym12 · 13/08/2018 22:08

what's written underneath crisps? Bags? Don't all crisps come in bags?

Maybe dog ham is a really posh delicacy and is actually a ham of dog.

GlassSuppers · 13/08/2018 22:22

Poppy bars, choc bars I imagine.

I love this list and want to go to their house for this nice dinner!

Grumpbum123 · 13/08/2018 22:26

One day someone is going to find my list that usually has all the essentials, meal plans and ‘Rats’ written in the middle of the list. It’s the snakes food but would look odd next to the ham and cheese

restingbemusedface · 13/08/2018 22:27

They spelt ‘naice’ wrong

My DD used to talk about dog butter when she was little. Envy < boak! Not sure where it came from but I wonder if she associated the yellow puddles in the snow with melted butter maybe?!

MyRelationshipIsWeird · 13/08/2018 22:29

Grump - do they have Naice Rats for special occasions?

TokyoSushi · 13/08/2018 22:30

Oh this is marvellous!! Dog ham indeed!! Grin

OhTheRoses · 13/08/2018 22:33

I though it wouldn't last long in this house.

MiniMum97 · 13/08/2018 22:35

We say “nice bread” too. We mean like a rye sourdough or olive focaccia or something other than your standard sliced. Nice bread! Makes total sense!

LurpakIsTheOnlyButter · 13/08/2018 22:37

I do my shopping list on Alexa, then when I go to do the shopping I have no idea what most of it is supposed to be Grin

Also the DC add random things to it such as 'teeth' and 'gold' so I can never be sure if Alexa misheard me or if someone is toying with my sanity!

PandaPieForTea · 13/08/2018 22:50

Surely that was planted by a MNetter. Like meta-trolling where you go beyond MN by planting a shopping list in Waitrose to get into MN. I can’t see any other explanation for dog ham. I’d be fairly sure that ham isn’t good for dogs.

28282ooooh · 13/08/2018 22:55

Was the list from Lincoln?

BarbaraofSevillle · 13/08/2018 22:58

But if it was a MN plant, it would be naice bread and pasta surely?

BarbaraofSevillle · 13/08/2018 23:03

And if you go further down those reviews, there's also people feeding it to cats and grandchildren.

I don't think I've ever reviewed anything and reviews for these sorts of products fascinate me. Do they review everything they buy or just certian things? What do they review, the good, the bad, the mediocre?

So many reviews are so middle of the road, say nothing, that you wonder why they bother.

PandaPieForTea · 13/08/2018 23:47

@BarbaraofSevillle that reminds me of the questions section on Amazon products with answers of ‘I don’t know, I haven’t opened it yet’.

MyRelationshipIsWeird · 13/08/2018 23:50

Lurpak my DP has Alexa at his house - apparently his teen DD’s mates add dildos and handcuffs to his shopping list on a regular basis Grin

I did wonder if it was a plant - had a little look around to see if I was being pranked before I took it!

No, it wasn’t Lincoln Waitrose - that’s double posh innit.

MyRelationshipIsWeird · 13/08/2018 23:51

Clearly dog ham is a thing all over the UK!

Robert Popper (writer/comedian) often plants hilarious shopping lists in supermarkets trolleys for people to find - twitter.com/robertpopper/status/947139460306743296?s=21
