It’s a proper gift of a shopping list. You’re welcome. Grin

So firstly, can you guess which supermarket it was?....

What’s in the top right hand corner?

CormoranStrike · 14/08/2018 09:06

What a random way of writing a list.

Apart from that, unless a list had things like ‘don’t forget the gimp mask, cucumber and preparation H’ then I can’t see the interest in other people’s lists.

SimonBridges · 14/08/2018 09:12

Does anyone write a list that says “shit ham”, “crap bread”, “mediocre pasta”?

Dh put ‘shit brush’ on his shopping list the other day because he was going to be using it to do some gloss and he couldn’t be arsed to was it.

LooksBetterWithAFilter · 14/08/2018 09:12

Crabb dove anti so deodorant.
I write “nice” when I write a list for dh because despite there being some things I never ever buy the value range of (like cold meat for sandwiches) that’s what he will come back with.

Ifailed · 14/08/2018 09:17

I don't think it's "dogham", but can't figure out what else it could be!

FannyCornforth · 14/08/2018 17:55

Hello! My dog has 'dog chicken', and the foxes in our field have 'fox pasta'. True! My Mom (black country) and Dad used to have pet tawny owls, and they had 'owl rabbit' - frozen, from Sainsburys. We had to put dog hair on the rabbit meat so that the owls could make pellets.

WhatAnAbsolutePenis · 14/08/2018 18:27

There's too many 'Nice' things on there.

This was an MN plant or the OP's doing.

Caught red handed OP?!

MyRelationshipIsWeird · 17/08/2018 21:14

He he! It wasn't me, honest guv, but my first thought was "this is the work of an MNer" with all the nice this and nice that Grin

The fun of random shopping lists is to guess the people who wrote them. Have you never sneaked a look at a checkout or clocked a trolley and thought blimey or I’ve forgotten that?!

I think the nice comments are a reminder to the partner who is doing the shopping not be frugal they have friends over. As for naice pasta - I use bog standard essentials - which Waitrose’s stocks - for day to day but if I was serving for guests I would go for blue and yellow one. Can’t remember the name. Or fresh even. Depending on sauce.

Passmethecrisps · 17/08/2018 21:39

They are having people over for lunch or dinner. When I wrote a shopping list for having people round I always prefix stuff with “nice” or “good”. What I mean is “better than the big standard pish I normally get”

I think it has been randomly spaced in order to leave space for items to be added later in groups. I rather like the way it looks

FayKnights · 17/08/2018 21:42

Wooahh, why has a klaxon been sounded and there’s no pus, spots or boils being popped.
When did it get appropriated for shopping lists?!?

MyRelationshipIsWeird · 17/08/2018 21:49

Sorry, I didn't realise the klaxon was only for puss! Just saw an ad for Dr Pimple Popper on TV - who wants to see that?! Envy < boak

MyRelationshipIsWeird · 17/08/2018 21:49

Grin it is gross but I promise that on here I am not alone in my weirdness.
Use your klaxon wisely or you’ll end up with sporners all over your thread!
