Serious question.
If you eat peanut butter on toast... do you use regular butter too?

FrizzyNoodles · 26/07/2017 22:23

Yes it helps it spread

dudsville · 26/07/2017 22:24

Ugh, no I don't! But I have friends who do!

ImperialBlether · 26/07/2017 22:24

Yes, it's too dry otherwise.

Always butter as well

Wh0Kn0wsWhereTheTimeGoes · 26/07/2017 22:25

Yes, too dry on it's own.

BikeRunSki · 26/07/2017 22:25

No

MrsNuckyThompson · 26/07/2017 22:26

Obvs yes. Too dry and sticks in the throat otherwise.

Nowthereistwo · 26/07/2017 22:26

Ps we're living Morrison's own brand whole peanut butter

chipsandpeas · 26/07/2017 22:26

nope

sunshineandrainbowsparkles · 26/07/2017 22:27

I just no buttered for the first time... it definitely wasn't as nice. If you're considering it don't bother!

OP posts:
glasshalfsomething · 26/07/2017 22:29

Nope, never.

Jam? Yes.
Butter? No.

Oddish · 26/07/2017 22:32

Yes always

birdsdestiny · 26/07/2017 22:32

Nooo. Banana on top though.

EnglishGirlApproximately · 26/07/2017 22:33

No, I put banana slices on it instead

NoSquirrels · 26/07/2017 22:33

No. Weird. Would you butter Nutella first?

EnglishGirlApproximately · 26/07/2017 22:33

Ooh snap bird

LakeFlyPie · 26/07/2017 22:34

Nooo, jam or honey or even banana yes, but not butter Shock

rosybell · 26/07/2017 22:35

No it actually makes me feel sick. I still remember my Dad once making me butter and peanut butter sandwiches as a child as gagging on it.

ifcatscouldtalk · 26/07/2017 22:38

Personal choice. I dislike 2 spreads together if that makes sense.

Sparrowlegs248 · 26/07/2017 22:41

Yes, too sticky otherwise. And if having jam it's butter, pnb, then jam.

I also butter before Nutella. This may be why I'm a bit on the tubby side....

TonicAndTonic · 26/07/2017 22:44

Yes always, like pp have said it's too dry otherwise.

sunshineandrainbowsparkles · 26/07/2017 22:45

Yes I butter Nutella too, unless I'm eating it straight from the jar at 3am.

mommybunny · 26/07/2017 22:46

Im American and the thought of putting butter on before peanut butter is positively gross. The only thing more revolting would be "marg spread" [vomit just thinking about it].

Why do you Brits have to f*ck up all your sandwiches with butter?

TheNumberfaker · 26/07/2017 22:46

Always butter first... And it must be butter rather than margarine 😱

NoSquirrels · 26/07/2017 22:48

Oh Dear God.

There are people - MULTIPLE PEOPLE, JUST ON THIS THREAD - who butter Nutella.

I hardly dare to ask but ... cream cheese?
