Feeling quite sanguine about it actually. Hamlet is dull not my favourite, good as I'm sure he'll be.

And there will be tickets on sale later too, although I suspect they might be the kind that you have to queue overnight for, and NO ONE is worth that in my book.

I also felt quite sanguine after my first disappointment when it all went tits up last week, rather surprised I got tickets at all.

Ordered my calender today - feel like a teenager again lol

out of interest i just joined the queue, over 30,000 in front of me! If it's meant to be then my friend will get me tickets. Otherwise i'll just have to make do with the cinema.

Got tickets! I think I'll have to take my opera glasses though –they're in the 'cheap' seats.

At least it avoided the dilemma of whether I could get to London mid-week - not really.

Maybe the run will be extended due to unprecedented demand

Just bear in mind that the theatre holds 2,000 people and there are 7 performances a week so that's 14,000 tickets available per week! They are holding back 100 per performance and I wouldn't be surprised if they had held back others.

It will sell out, I'm sure but some of the press reports have been a bit

I thought it was a 1000-seater theatre? Still a lot of seats but I reckon it'll sell out by the end of the week, amazed there are still tickets, tbh!

Sorry, you're right the theatre is 1,100 Seater, it's the Hall that's 2,000. The Barbican site is showing as sold out, but tickets are still available via other sellers. I'm preparing to eat my words

Blind item of gossip today implying that the actress who plays Lady Edith dumped him because he got all "fifty shades" on her.

I read an article claiming he was dating the actress that is staring in the Fifty Shades film. To be fair though, he seems to get linked to every woman standing within 10 feet of him! There was that awkward article in one of the tabloids a year or two ago claiming he was dating "a mystery blonde" along with a photo of him in a car with said young lady. It was his niece

Fifty shades of grey is a bit dull. I'm disappointed in him really. But he did go to public school so......

That gossip about him and the Downton actress is a bit old. And, I suspect, untrue. Sounds like a mix of tenuous speculation (they were photographed at a party together) and someone's fantasy about Benedict and slightly grubby sex.

. Looks like I'll just have to make do with this rather than Hamlet.
