The dress was ill advised, given she's a publicist , but really it doesn't matter that much. Somebody needs to calm down, it won't get anymore brownie points.

I think the reaction is because some BC fans get carried away and seem to criticise Caron at every turn "who does she think she is?!" "why does she dress like that?" Etc. Don't get me wrong, the Oscar dress was a "daring" choice, but for crying out loud she's working, doing her job looking after BC and making sure he's where he should be at all times. A lot of the criticism smacks of jealousy in my opinion, some fans get strangely possessive over their idol and don't like to see other people doing a job they wish they could do.

Yeah i saw that and thought it was a little OTT, just feeding the trolls really.

According to this Benedict went home/hotel alone, but i'm sure if he did pull he'd arrange to meet her later rather than leave with someone, he knows what the press are like and the US ones are worse than ours at times!

Not been around in here very much, but loved all the Tumblr pictures of him at the Oscars. Particularly liked the ones of him welling up at Lupita's speech, and the ones with the "errant curl"

Right, Cumber - er, people. What is the skinny re BC and his publicist? It is not usual to take your publicist into the ceremony - no one else does. And she was sat 2nd row back - prime seating.

Hazel - I would imagine that maybe she helps him alot and maybe he relies on her. Plus I thinki it is cos he's nice and wants her to enjoy it too.

Just odd that he said that he wished he could bring his mum one day, when he has obvs made the choice to bring his publicist. Unless a) he wanted to, b) someone else was meant to be coming and could not at last minute etc... c) er - something else.

Of course, a ii) could then be... they are more than just publicist/actor. Could they be ???

Nah! I realy don't think there is anything between them but she is safe person to take baring in mind that if he takes any other woman apart from her or his mum the media start to make stuff up.

Do you remember when he was snapped getting into a car after a cinema trip with a pretty young blonde woman about a year ago. The tabloids went nuts about his "new mystery woman". It turned out to be his niece!
