Yes, I know it's been said many times and it is totally ignoring his massive achievements and objectifying his deeply sexy shoulders and winning smile but jeez, what am I going to do for Saturday night fantasies from now on?

MrsOP it's fab! I loves it cos he was only a kid when it was written. I like writing I shall do him his new one.

SpitTheDog · 16/09/2012 20:00

Ha! Where did you find that GreatGretzky?! Fantastic find Grin

I've also downloaded Blade Runner, hoping to read it soon.

He just seems to get more and more gorgeous the older he gets

SpitTheDog · 16/09/2012 20:07

Also there was a short interview with his then girlfriend on Fastest Man with No Legs... I've watched a little bit on You Tube.

I get the impression he likes blondes...

AmIthatbad · 16/09/2012 21:17

Yes, he was cute when he was younger, but he is maturing into a stunningly handsome man.

Guess this'll be another pleasurably wasted night surfing the net to look for Oscar stuff.

He is soooooooo pretty Smile

GreatGretzky · 16/09/2012 21:40

Spit a friend sent it to me, no idea where she found it though!

Evenings spent wasting time perving on Oscar are the best kind of evenings! Grin

OscarPistoriusGirlfriend · 16/09/2012 22:06

He is the kind of man who matures into his looks isn't he. Gorgeous. Grin

zebrazoo · 16/09/2012 23:55

any views on the book? someone has said its rubbish - what was rubbish about it? was going to wait for a reprint with 2012 olympics, but i doubt it will be an entire rewrite so if its no good i will forget it

GothAnneGeddes · 17/09/2012 00:56

I thought it was quite good actually. No earth shattering insights, but quite funny in places and interesting in others and he comes across very well in it.

I imagine a volume post 2012 would be very interesting. I personally think he got a rather hard time by the media over his remarks about Olivera's blades.

AmIthatbad · 17/09/2012 08:34

What on earth did we do before t'internet? I spent a very lovely evening watching videos and looking at pics.

I even sat through The One Show.

I love him Smile

Meglet · 17/09/2012 10:04

amIthatbad we had Smash Hits and Just Seventeen!

For everyone with a 'monday morning' feeling........

OscarPistoriusGirlfriend · 17/09/2012 13:08

I heart them too! Cheered me right up that has.

SpitTheDog · 17/09/2012 13:24

Good God.

TheSmallClanger · 17/09/2012 13:38

There is a video somewhere that includes Oscar running 100m on a track, filmed from behind. I must find it and post. It's a must for any red-blooded woman who appreciates the male arse form.

WilfSell · 17/09/2012 13:39

Oh good grief. May have to go and have a shower meself after that shower scene... My afternoon meeting will go much, er, 'dreamier' now - thanks.

And I heart you too, fellow Pistorians, for finding all this good stuff!

That Oakley thing is bloody fantastic.

RedBlanket · 17/09/2012 17:59

try again

OscarPistoriusGirlfriend · 17/09/2012 18:22

Pistorius! Not postorus

AmIthatbad · 17/09/2012 19:58

Does any kind person have a link to the Extraordinary People documentary, the Fatest Man with No Legs? Please

So far, I've seen Part 1 and 2, but I can't find the next bit. I'm only up as far as him looking at the rain in Sheffield.

I've been round and round youtube.

MrsOscarPistorius · 17/09/2012 20:06

zebrazoo The book is a tad on the cringe-worthy side, my heart sank reading the rather pompous introduction. The writing is very stilted, which may be partly as it has been translated from the original Italian. There is a lot clearly left unsaid out of family loyalty - why did his parents divorce? what did his mother die from? why did he not go to live with his dad after his mother died? and so on. I would have liked a lot more on his running career, and a bit less on the joys of boarding school etc - it only goes up to about 4 years ago.

back to the youtube videos ...

Blu · 17/09/2012 20:17

Is he still here? Or has he gone home?

Meglet · 17/09/2012 20:21

It's funny, the more I've watched on YT the easier it is to see how he's understandably being built into a 'Beckham' style brand - which FWIW is ok with me. Everytime I walk past H&M I end up smirking at the giant half-nekkid Davids in the window Blush.

GreatGretzky · 17/09/2012 20:43

Ooh that BT London thing that Red posted a link to is where I met him!

Blu He's gone home Sad He did say at Trafalgar Square he'd be back in two weeks but not sure if he really is or just said it to stop everyone booing when he said he was leaving!

GreatGretzky · 17/09/2012 20:47

Have just put friend's pic from Trafalgar Square on my profile. I wasn't thinking calmly enough to get a photo when he was right in front of us! Grin

OscarPistoriusGirlfriend · 17/09/2012 20:54

I wouldn't complain if there were posters
Of him half naked all over my high street. Blush

Fwiw I think anything that normalises disability is to be praised. I think his competing in the Olympics AND Paralympics was groundbreaking and has laid vital foundations in changing attitudes amongst the public at large and hooray for that!
