You can see he goes quite wrong very near the beginning, and starts giggling. He is an endearingly crap dancer, but the wonky smile and low-cut t-shirt make up for it.

I have had nothing better to do and have given the "machine gun" issue some thought. I bet it was a large, old semi-automatic rifle with a big ammo magazine - the sort of thing that game rangers carry about with them. They are widely available in Kenya and Tanzania, so can probably be bought in petrol stations in South Africa. I worked in East Africa for a while, and I used to be a referee for shooting competitions.

Life in South Africa does sound a bit like being a character in a JG Ballard novel.

I've lost track of whether anyone has posted this before. He is quite beautiful.

My running speed is his slow jogging, and I'm usually fiddling with my ipod trying to find a song I like.

His Mum spoke English and his Dad + dad's family speak Afrikaans, so he grew up speaking both.

He also went to a private English-language high school, so has no excuse for naighbour ;)

Yes, about the schooling - although from what I've read, he probably spent more time at school doing sports, than concentrating on English

I assume that the tattoo studio was quite warm inside, being in Africa and all. Either that, or Oscar didn't want to get blood or ink on any of his vests - both are an absolute bugger to wash out.
