I used to get up at 630 on Saturday morning to 'style' my perfectly normal straight bob into a birds nest creation that made me look like I'd been sleeping rough. How ironic that a few decades years later I always look like I've just got out of bed.

I have smelt Eau de Oscar. It is a fresh sort of scent, much nicer than the original Thierry M men's fragrance. Someone mentioned cut grass and lemons upthread, and it's a bit like that.

I had a very pointless amusing escapade in the perfume shop, drawing the attention of two shop assistants. I could have just said "is this the new Thierry Mugler men's one, the one with the attractive South African runner in the advert? Can I have a sniff, because it sounds as if it's my DH's sort of thing?" That would be a lie, but it would have worked. Instead, I mumbled something non-committal, paranoid that the assistant knew I was only doing it for the benefit of my lecherous friends on the internet, then when the second assistant came along, feigned interest in Valentino Valentina, sprayed it all over myself, then dropped the metal lid of the bottle on the floor with a loud clang.

Everyone has been complaining all afternoon about me honking of perfume.

Meglet - if it gets moves to sports we'd have to start discussing split times, protein shakes and hamstrings and such like.

He probably smells of sweaty track suits most of the time.

The last bit of The Fastest Man On No Legs is definitely on YT. I've watched it. It has Oscar staring wistfully at the building site that will later become the Olympic stadium, which makes you want to shout back through time at him, "Oscar! Use the force sweetheart! You're going to make it!"

Just watched a good interview on a channel called Sportsvibe, where he is in the Olympic stadium, a year ago, while they were still working on it. He was over for the BT paralympic world championship.

He was very lovely in it, talking about his horses, only getting to go biking from Sep-Dec, what he likes about Italy, his skills at packing, etc.

I'm loving this crush, it takes my mind off crap in RL.

My Dad picked me and DD up from the train station today, he asked how I was and I said "Oh, I've got a new love in my life (meaning the car I'm getting) and my dad said "Oh, you mean Oscar Pistorius?".
