I'm really sorry to hear that. 
Is there any chance you will start again? You can turn off the comments facility, and many people do, prefering instead to engage in conversation with their readers using twitter/facebook and leaving the blog to be purely their own. I was pretty tempted at one point. I think if I started to get comments like that I would. It's just not nice and there's no excuse for bullying, online or otherwise.
