Get those catwalk pics in here quick!

Every part of him is just so phwoar!

Read a long message from Amanda Abbington which had been re-posted on Tumblr by one of the blogs I follow. Very eloquent.

FrankelSaysRelax · 12/09/2012 21:16

Are you all out having a life or something?!

In the meantime Grin

LetUsPrey · 12/09/2012 21:30

I find having a life gets in the way of MNGrin.

Loved the photos when he was at Marvel and not just because of the trousers

DH just asked me what I was laughing at. I said vaguely "something on MN". It was, however, this

I'm sure I was wearing underwear a moment ago

Life is currently beating me over the head with a sledgehammer. DS1 is having major problems adjusting to school (he turned 6 a day before school started), and I have two supposedly-well-meaning mums who "invited me over to chat" about his behaviour and strongly suggested I take him to the doctor for an evaluation.

If I had been raised differently, there would have been casualties. Instead, I'm self-medicating with red wine and cookies. And a whole mess of BC-related Tumblr.

Will post more when the urge to harm someone passes.

LetUsPrey · 12/09/2012 22:47

Prime opportunity for "wow, that was rude - did you mean to sound so rude?"

Ignore them and pay attention to BC.

NeedsAGreenCardForFantasyLand · 13/09/2012 07:28

Thanks, Prey. Too bad you aren't my neighbour!! The best part was this morning when I told one of them how I felt about the whole thing (leaving out the 'please go f* yourself if you think it's OK to tell other parents to how to raise their kids', esp. under the guise of being a concerned 'friend') and also telling her that, yes, she should have told the other mum to take it up with me directly (she claims she was 'just facilitating'), she got huffy and is now being short with my kid.

Jesus, I feel like I'm 13 again and not allowed to hang with the cool kids.

LetUsPrey · 13/09/2012 07:59

You could try a little smile, a sigh and a small shake of the head as if to say "oh you silly woman". Or tell her to f*uck herself.

holmessweetholmes · 13/09/2012 17:43

Ooooh those last two pictures are very lovely indeed. Thank you for brightening up my day...

FrankelSaysRelax · 13/09/2012 20:55

Seen before, but oh so funny Grin

Had Radio4 on the way home from the dentist with DS2 this evening and listened to John Finnemore's Souvenir Programme. Absolutely bloody hilarious!

LetUsPrey · 14/09/2012 17:55

Let's start warming things up for tonight's dose of BC shall we?

A bit of Peter from TTSS

Some SuitBatch

Parade's End shots

I am so incredibly Envy of Rebecca Hall's wardrobe

And finally ... I think unfghfjhgh would cover this one ... Grin

LetUsPrey · 14/09/2012 17:57

Feck.

Behind the scenes

NeedsAGreenCardForFantasyLand · 14/09/2012 20:02

Re: That shot of him in his robe and jammies and not much else...

/Klunk/ ... That would be the sound of my jaw hitting the desk. Excuse me while I go get a rag to mop up the drool.

Rebecca Hall's Sylvia is making me think Molly Ringwald has a petulant, much younger sister somewhere. If she takes out one earring to give to a lover, I'm gonna flip. (OK, sorry, random 80's flick reference that you probably won't get if you were born after 1976.)

LetUsPrey · 14/09/2012 20:05

Pretty in Pink? The Breakfast Club?

(pre-1976 here)

NeedsAGreenCardForFantasyLand · 14/09/2012 20:11

Breakfast Club. Which, I just noticed, has quite the lovely abbreviation. ;)

NeedsAGreenCardForFantasyLand · 14/09/2012 20:39

Oh, and if all "fat Yorkshiremen" look like that, then I'm booking the movers tomorrow.

I'll be watching Parade's End on a bit of a delay as the DC are still up Hmm

NeedsAGreenCardForFantasyLand · 14/09/2012 20:54

Duct-tape them to the sofa, tape a bag of crisps to their faces and tell them Mum has Important Business To Attend To. (Am personally praying that both of my little darlings have neither a leakage incident or nightmares for the next hour or so. DH is AWOL in the basement, and since I'm technically between him and the kids, I'd be forced to run interference.)

LetUsPrey · 14/09/2012 22:15

Just finished watching it.

Oh my oh my oh my Grin

Is it wrong that I really quite love Sylvia?

NeedsAGreenCardForFantasyLand · 14/09/2012 22:33

I do feel bad for Molly Sylvia. Such a gorgeous negligee and she didn't get peeled out of it. We did, however, get to view his sixpack -- woo!

FrankelSaysRelax · 14/09/2012 22:35

Am I the only one who sniggered every time Roger Allam said "Brilliant"? Grin

NeedsAGreenCardForFantasyLand · 14/09/2012 22:37

Nope! (Kept looking for the sticker on Chrissy's hat that said "Captain")

LetUsPrey · 14/09/2012 22:46

I paused it towards the end when Roger Allam told Chrissy to sit down to tell him where he was going to be posted. Said to DH that I kept waiting for Roger to say "Oh Chrissy" a la Douglas. He was a bit like this Hmm. Grin

If I'd been in Sylvia's place (and oh, how I wish I had been), I'd have punched both Potty and the General in the face myself and told them to get the feck out of my room!

I think that particular part of the episode will be getting watched againGrin
