Sorry about the vocab goof (begin vs. commence) -- I saw the clip last night at 1 am on YouTube and I was woken early this morning my kids running a Demolition Derby in my living room.

And I must say, the author of this article is a tool for not mentioning BC. Grrrrrr.

To be fair though, BC was not part of the Opening Ceremonu itself, he was part of the BBC coverage. The film wasn't shown anywhere else, it was just for us Brits. Hence why all the American fan girls are currently squealing on YouTube!

Seems its just me left!

I've just done something that makes me a little: I was wondering through a department store this morning searching for inspiration for a birthday present for DH (in 2 weeks time). I was in the fragrance section and thought I'd look at some new aftershave/fragrance for him. As I was looking through everything I spotted a tester bottle for Attimo Pour Homme and thought to myself "That's the scent BC allegedly wears. I wonder what it smells like."
Well, I tell you ladies it is farking gorgeous so I bought a bottle for DH Is that weird and stalkery?! I'm not trying to pull a "Rebecca" and turn DH into BC honest!

Arrgghh, wandering not "wondering"

Frankel, no, it's not just you. Last Friday I spent about two hours wandering from perfume shop to perfume shop downtown in search of that. Finally found it. I found the bergamot overtones too...much. I really like the sandalwood that remains, can totally imagine what that must smell like on skin...His skin...Oh god. But yes, I can understand your feeling of "I am way too grown-up to be behaving like this."

My friend just left with her family on their "If it's Tuesday, it must be Belgium" tour of Germany, Switzerland, Belgium, Holland and France. (They are travelling until Aug. 20). Now I have converted her husband to being a Sherlock fan as well as his wife (although for totally different reasons -- we watched ASiB last night). World domination, indeed!

Argghh! Horrid thought - could the extra filming impact on new Sherlock??!!

Maybe we can hope that either they'll finish before January (don't they film then??) or that they have already filmed boatloads and just couldn't bear to cut stuff out. Either way, more BC (and MF) is a good thing, no?

Oh God, are there not enough Lord of the Dullsville films already???

Even without BC and the possible Sherlock problems it might cause, it's wearying news.

Surely for those who do have to come back, it's going to cause scheduling nightmares? Not to mention contractual ones. Or did Peter J insist that they all had written into their contracts that they were to make themselves available for an infinite amount of his self-indulgent windbaggery?
