The interesting thing is that it would be the same Big Bad Boss... and there are few jobs in this sector in my area ... and it's only advertised within the unit ... and the closing date is this Friday... and interviews are next week, and the Line Manager tells me they're desperate for someone to start ASAP ...

There was a trick question on the Job Spec. 'Are you aware of the requirements of the Adult Education Inspectorate?' Well, I would be if it still existed...

The other interesting fact is that Potential Line Manager wasn't in the least surprised that I'd asked to see her to find out a few more facts: and, despite the fact that the new vacancy has a salary which is whole 10K more than I earn now (and I'm paid pro-rata, for term time only, at the moment. so probably nearer 12K more), she was insistent on telling me that there would be a salary review after 6 months.

I forebore (is there such a word - hell, I only teach literacy!) from doing a Martin Crieff and saying I'd do the job for half the going rate. Or nothing.

If I get an interview I shall wear my Cabin Pressure Tshirt under the Interview Blouse to bring me luck.

I know it was a while ago now..but ADDICT..how wonderful to MEET him..I would love to, and you sound like you were so in control. SO nice of Primus to think of you. I would be speechless if I met him..I know I would. It sounds like he was as lovely and charming and funny as we all thought..nay. KNEW..he would be.

sloppygirl - I wouldn't say I was particularly in control, but after Primus had said 'This is my mum; she's seen almost all your work' I could hardly then ask BC if he'd mind if I ripped his clothes off...
