Right, I've taken the plunge!

Get those catwalk pics in here quick!

Oh, and Primus - much to my embarrassment Blush - mentioned the time that I managed to iron my arm when there was an unexpected clip of the divine Mr C on the telly - and BC looked quite worried for a second and then started to giggle.

He has a gorgeous giggle.

CaveMum · 17/07/2012 10:05

Alright addict, stop rubbing it in Wink

Prey m'dear, do I remember rightly that you are up in Scotland? I read that BC will be at the Edinburgh TV Festival in a few weeks for a Sherlock Masterclass, along with Sue Vertue, Stephen Moffat and Mark Gattis. Not sure how you get tickets but you should investigate - quickly!

LadyClarice - wasn't it just so sweet of Primus? I really had no idea where he was driving me to.

CaveMum - not in Scotland, no. NW England. DH is from Scotland and we're going there on holiday but thanks for thinking of me anyway. Holiday is nowhere close to Edinburgh either so no chance of my "navigation skills" coming into their own and sending us the wrong way. Grin

LetUsPrey · 17/07/2012 19:07

From Cumberbuddy tumblr. I too am jealous of a door.

CaveMum · 17/07/2012 22:17

Right, you all need to head over to WAYWB and complete this survey (click on the post to link to the survey itself). Make sure you all say you discovered the blog via BCAS on Mumsnet Grin

Done! Grin

NeedsAGreenCardForFantasyLand · 18/07/2012 12:59

Vote early! Vote often!

I'm not sure why TV Line has deemed Sherlock to be a Bad Boy, but BC needs our vote to trounce that boy toy from Dawson's Creek (or whatever show he's doing these days).

NeedsAGreenCardForFantasyLand · 18/07/2012 14:32

Prey, I saw that door link too. But may I just say I ruined it for myself because all I could think was, "The fingerprints! Now I have to clean the glass again! Use the damn door knob!" Yep, definitely a mother.

CaveMum · 18/07/2012 19:14

sigh

OP posts:
LetUsPrey · 18/07/2012 19:40

Can't figure out how to vote on that poll. Hmm

Fingerprints never crossed my mind. I don't have the housework/cleaning gene - much to my mother's chagrinGrin.

And CaveMum - doesn't he just look perfect in that picture? Sigh indeed.

LetUsPrey · 18/07/2012 19:50

From the SocratesIsRight tumblr:

Martin Freeman has said re Sherlock "Three new episodes will be shot over four months, the actor reveals. Speaking at a Comic-Con press conference to promote his role in The Hobbit films, Freeman said: ?[We film] in January until about April, I think.? He added: ?It?s a pleasure for us to do. We love it!?

Mark Gatiss has already confirmed he is writing an adaptation of ?The Adventure of the Empty House? for the third series.

Squeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee

CaveMum · 18/07/2012 19:51

S'alright Prey, the poll has closed - Sherlock won Grin We'll wait to see who he goes up against next.

OP posts:
CaveMum · 18/07/2012 19:54

I heard about the filming last week. Sqqquuueeeeee indeed!

Sherlock goes up against Dean thingy from Supernatural next.

Problem is, Spike from Buffy is on the other side of the poll, so in theory the two could meet in the Final. I'll be genuinely torn as to who to vote for Confused

OP posts:
IsSamNormansDad · 18/07/2012 20:22

BC doesn't seem to be at the Edinburgh TV festival - at least not for the Sherlock thing Sad
I was actually really excited about almost certainly going to that!
Hope you're all well.

CaveMum · 18/07/2012 20:32

Cumberbatchweb has posted about it on Timblr. Turns out it is not a fan event, but an industry event. You need to work in tv to get a ticket. More here

OP posts:
LetUsPrey · 18/07/2012 20:34

All good IsSamNormansDad Smile

CaveMum - Shock There is no dilemma . You vote for Sherlock

CaveMum · 18/07/2012 20:36

I'd have been a far better choice for this photoshoot. The model has awful poise! Wink

BC however looks very good! Very Argentine Tango Grin

OP posts:
LetUsPrey · 18/07/2012 20:41

There's a bed. There's Benedict. I would definitely not be dancing on the bed in that situationWink

CaveMum · 18/07/2012 20:48

Bigger picture Prey - you stand on the bed, get to press yourself up against him, then "oops", lose you balance and tumble down, taking BC with you Grin

OP posts:
LetUsPrey · 18/07/2012 21:04

get to press yourself up against him .....

The very thought of that is making me quite hot and flustered Blush

NeedsAGreenCardForFantasyLand · 18/07/2012 21:08

CaveMum, you forgot to mention that the clothes magically disappear on the way down.

Just had a look at the other photos from that shoot. For someone who claims not to like the "posh alien" look, he sure is sporting it in the first picture. And the third one...don't like that woman's "he's mine now" thing going on. Not at all. (Never mind that he looks like he's thinking, "OK, I'm done now, can I leave?")

TheAddict · 18/07/2012 21:38

Blimey, I'd kick his feet from underhim and still managed to land face up on the mattress before him... Grin

Now here's a question. Non BC related.

As Big Bad Boss has decided to not to renew my contract (which ends next week) because the money isn't available, why is there an internal vacancy for a much better job, on much more money and which I am the only person working in the unit qualified to teach ??

And do I complete the application form, or just tell him where to stick his job?

The Addict

NeedsAGreenCardForFantasyLand · 18/07/2012 21:45

By all means, apply. You can always apply for a different job elsewhere. Would you be working for BBB in the new position?

I wouldn't tell him to stick it (no matter how tempting it may be). You never know of people's connections. (Besides, it's far more fun to watch them screw up, and then you'd have a front-row seat, right?)
