I'm sorry to hear about that, CaveMum.

Would this help lift your spirits a little?

LetUsPrey · 12/07/2012 22:36

Saw that the other night NeedsAGreenCard but was so distracted by it, I forgot to post Grin

and I've asked MN to delete my post Blush

How pathetic is it that I've kick-started my weight-loss plan since discovering BC? I mean, I got my copy of Sherlock at the beginning of May, and since then I've actually wanted to get on the treadmill. 6 kg down so far, 5 more to go.

Because we all know I'm going to fly to London and meet him randomly in some bookshop and he'll take me back to his flat where we'll ravish each other for hours.

My god, I need to get out more often.

LetUsPrey · 12/07/2012 22:52

I have no idea what you're talking about NeedsAGreenCard. I have in no way become less squeamish about small spiders and creepy crawlies because I wouldn't want to appear like a complete wuss in front of Steve Backshall should we ever have some one on one time in an outdoor situation and a spider appears. Oh no, not at all. (Disclaimer: anything bigger than a small spider/creepy crawly will still get the shit beaten out of it/I will run screaming from it).

Nor have I sought to improve my reading habits or started looking on chocolate as a treat rather than a food group on the off chance I bump into BC.

Sit with us on the Saddo Bench NeedsAGreenCard. We've been here a while.

NeedsAGreenCardForFantasyLand · 12/07/2012 23:44

Thanks, Prey. That bench looks comfy.

LadyClariceCannockMonty · 13/07/2012 10:19

Sorry, but chocolate IS a food group ...

LadyClariceCannockMonty · 13/07/2012 12:32

Hi sloppygirl!

It was probably me. There is a doc on the making of Frankenstein ? it was made around the time of the stage play but not shown. I emailed Channel 4 about it recently like a weirdo and they replied:

'Dear LadyClarice

Thank you for contacting Channel 4 Viewer Enquiries regarding FRANKENSTEIN: The Making of a Myth.

We appreciate your interest in this documentary, there are plans to broadcast it later in the year. However, at this time the exact date has not been added to our schedule, as this is only published two weeks in advance.

Please check with your regular listings guide and the Channel 4 website over the next few months for the most up to date information.

Yours etc etc
Nice man'

So fingers crossed!

NeedsAGreenCardForFantasyLand · 13/07/2012 14:56

Hi all,

It's reading stuff like that that makes me want to chuck it all and move to the UK.

I'm on my phone and can't cut/paste, but there's a lovely image of BC on horseback over at the Cumberbuddy tumblr. Commentary is, as usual, priceless.

LetUsPrey · 13/07/2012 17:47

You mean this one NeedsAGreenCard with the dodgy jacket?

Tweeted by Cumberbatchweb: "Had a delightful chat with Benedict's parents & his mother mentioned he is dressed in head to toe leather in Star Trek!"

Chocolate stopped being a food group when my metabolism started to slow and my backside and thighs started to expand. Tisn't fair.

LetUsPrey · 13/07/2012 19:26
. Have only watched half of it and that was with the sound down. I couldn't take my eyes off his hands, and his mouth, although I wanted to ruffle his hairGrin. Did I mention I love his hands?
NeedsAGreenCardForFantasyLand · 13/07/2012 19:40

Thanks, Prey for the link. Yes, that jacket is...questionable at best. Couldn't see that on the phone with the glare outside (during the 3 seconds of sunlight we had today in between cloudbursts....)

Thanks for the link to the interview. The hair, though, needs serious help. There is a fine line between well-groomed pomade (e.g. Mad Men) and slicked-back pimp. And if I'm seeing properly, it looks like he's got an awfully high forehead (don't want to say receding hairline, but...), and that style isn't helping. Ruffling at the very least is necessary. Need any help there? No? Damn, didn't think so.

sloppygirl · 13/07/2012 22:19

OH thanks so much LadyC !! Goodie !! I shall have use for my new SkyBox when Parade's End is aired and also for the doc. on Frankenstein. I think you deserve a virtual bottle of wine for efforts on behalf of the cause!..sending it now..

LetUsPrey · 14/07/2012 14:12

The little drawing seems familiar...

LetUsPrey · 14/07/2012 21:07

I do love the Cumberbuddy tumblr

LadyClariceCannockMonty · 15/07/2012 13:42

Aw, thanks sloppy!

God, I can't wait for Parade's End. Genuinely feeling the lack of superlative male TV performances at the moment. Have The Hollow Crown: Henry IV parts I and II lined up to watch, with Tom Hiddleston, who is IMO ALMOST up there with Benedict as an actor. That's great as far as it goes, but much as I love and admire Hiddleston I don't have the added bonus of a raging crush on him. Which just adds a leeeetle ... edge to watching a superlative male TV performance, no?

Prey, that first link is breathtaking.

CaveMum · 15/07/2012 14:17

Looks like BC is not playing Gary Mitchell after all.

OP posts:
LetUsPrey · 15/07/2012 15:37

There you are! Just when I thought I was going to get BC all to myself.

Was just thinking the same thing LadyClarice. I've done the ironing whilst watching A Study in Pink but I want some new BC stuff. Although whilst watching it, I was thinking "How did I not see it? How??"

Saw that interview too CaveMum. I'm getting to the stage where I don't care who he's playing. All I know is he's evil, superstrong, fighty and wearing tight clothes - apparently leather at some stage. That'll be enough for me.

CaveMum · 15/07/2012 15:39

Oh yes, I heard about the leather. Hmmm...........

The Diary Of Bridgend Jones continues:

Number of sons home this weekend: 100% (v v wonderful)
Number of future SiL's staying at Chez Addict this weekend: 100% (v v enjoyable)
Number of Primus's future MilLs arriving to stop "for a few days": 100% (indescribably awful prospect)
Number of Primus's future MilLs who eat no meat other than chicken: 100% (what is the matter with this woman??)
Number of Addicts who are considering bringing home one of the stray chickens who wander round the allotment, throwing it at Primus's future MilL and shouting 'Well, you kill and cook it then": 100%
Number of Addicts in deperate need of a good seeing to by Mr Cumberbatch: 100% (no change there, then)

Anyone got a good, impressive (and easy) chicken recipe??

The Addict
