From a review of Sherlock in the LA Times:

"and Cumberbatch, the most physically beautiful man to inhabit the role thus far, infuses his Sherlock with a passion that is as dangerously intense as it is highly selective." She's equally as glowing about everyone and everything else too. Smile

Right, I'm off to watch the video clip again, particularly the one on the left where he's tracing his fingers on the arm of the chair. Grin

Plus, one year to Star Trek! Squeeeeeeeeeee!

IsSamNormansDad · 13/05/2012 22:53

Oh lord...those hands! Where do you guys find these? Im usually MNing on my phone, so cant post any I find (youve all got there before me anyway), thank you all for letting me see yours Grin
Listening to Casanove atm, I nearly crashed my car when he is with Bellino/Therese. You know which bit, that word BlushWink

LetUsPrey · 14/05/2012 07:22

I spend many a happy hour few minutes looking through the various tumblr sites. The people who put them together are amazing and I am very grateful to them!

I think I might have to start listening to Casanova on the way home again.

CaveMum · 14/05/2012 07:48

I have to admit that I'd never heard of Tumblr until I started Cumbersurfing!

In excellent news, I see Sherlock won all 3 awards they had been nominated for at the BAFTA TV Craft awards last night - Best Writer for Stephen Moffat, Best Editing and Best Sound. Roll on the main BAFTAs at the end of the month, though I'm torn over who I think should get Best Supporting Actor. Both Martin Freeman and Andrew Scott are amazing.

LetUsPrey · 14/05/2012 08:19

Hurrah for BAFTA success! Andrew Scott was truly wonderfully evil as Moriarty but Martin Freeman has the edge for me. He was amazing throughout but the thing that edges it for me is the graveside scene at the end. Perfectly written and perfectly acted.

TheAddict · 14/05/2012 09:44

Cabin Pressure Series 3 is being repeated on Radio 4: 6.30 pm on Tuesdays - starting tomorrow

LadyClariceCannockMonty · 14/05/2012 10:12

Series 3 already? But I've yet to hear Johannesburg, Kuala Lumpur and Limerick from Series 2! The iPlayer only has Johannesburg. Does that just mean the others are still to come?

I went to watch some of Series 3 being recorded. Have I mentioned that? Grin

LadyClariceCannockMonty · 14/05/2012 10:15

Oh, and I also meant to say ? although I love Andrew S as Moriarty, I agree that Freeman deserves it; for all his work in Sherlock but particularly for The Reichenbach Fall and, within that, that graveside scene. He was breathtakingly brilliant.

Although I also thought Joseph Mawle was stunning in Birdsong and comprehensivel out-acted Eddie Redmayne

OP posts:
LadyClariceCannockMonty · 14/05/2012 10:15

comprehensively, obviously.

CaveMum · 14/05/2012 10:59

I saw on Twitter that John Finnemore has confirmed that they are finally going to release Cabin Pressure on CD in the next few months, and that there may be "something special" inside. I'm guessing some new cast photos [hopeful]. Still no word on Series 4.

I agree that Martin Freeman was outstanding in RF, as well as the other episodes, but Andrew Scott stole an awful lot of scenes and despite being a short, skinny man made Moriarty very intimidating.

Gah! Just give it to them both!

LadyClariceCannockMonty · 14/05/2012 13:00

And i just found this on Twitter, which hopefully suggests that they're at least trying to coordinate things so Benedict can be in the new series ...?

CaveMum · 14/05/2012 18:16

Mark Gatiss is currently chatting live online about Sherlock, here

CaveMum · 14/05/2012 19:37

Loving this, once you go 'Batch, you never go back!

LetUsPrey · 14/05/2012 22:18

Great minds CaveMum! I was laughing at that earlier Grin. Tis very true.

exexpat · 15/05/2012 00:50

Topless Cumberbatch klaxon

And I think it's rather sweet that even though he's now mega-famous and all that, he hasn't got round to buying any new swimming trunks since doing those (see from about 1.30).

LadyClariceCannockMonty · 15/05/2012 09:02

I don't like his new body Sad.
I don't like buff men. I prefer him with toned but thin arms, like in the <a class="break-all" href="http://www.google.co.uk/imgres?q=benedict+cumberbatch+nicotine+patch+scene&start=173&hl=en&client=firefox-a&hs=YVY&rls=org.mozilla:en-US:official&biw=1216&bih=670&addh=36&tbm=isch&tbnid=0XPxBLPhvUMv1M:&imgrefurl=www.newsarama.com/tv/sherlock-annotations-episode-1-101118.html&docid=MbBIYNNUCLajMM&imgurl=i.newsarama.com/images/Three%252520Patch%252520Problem.jpg&w=516&h=331&ei=7AyyT__KBJKj8gOv-YSSCQ&zoom=1&iact=hc&vpx=465&vpy=386&dur=647&hovh=117&hovw=183&tx=142&ty=165&sig=100905212096207828663&page=9&tbnh=117&tbnw=183&ndsp=25&ved=1t:429,r:21,s:173,i:258" rel="nofollow" target="_blank">'three-patch problem' scene in ASIP.

While looking, I came across <a class="break-all" href="http://www.google.co.uk/imgres?q=benedict+cumberbatch+sherlock&start=89&hl=en&client=firefox-a&hs=f3s&sa=X&rls=org.mozilla:en-US:official&biw=1216&bih=670&tbm=isch&prmd=imvnso&tbnid=DKCx04m0kgOnxM:&imgrefurl=www.dollymix.tv/2011/12/our_top_10_girl_bands_of_all_t.html&docid=Al1Bx_zp6gRUdM&imgurl=www.dollymix.tv/assets_c/2012/04/benedict_cumberbatch_sherlock-thumb-300xauto-155401.png&w=300&h=261&ei=LguyT42eNemd0QWs0sGMCQ&zoom=1" rel="nofollow" target="_blank">this. Don't think I'd seen it before. Jesus Christ. Like a screen door in a hurricane ...

Oh I definitely prefer Skinny Batch, but let's be honest, none of us are going to kick him out of bed for working out a tad Grin

Loving the shorts - he's such a nerd!

LadyClariceCannockMonty · 15/05/2012 11:34

'Spose not.

I about to link to the topless pics as my first BCAS link Wink
Oh well, we all got to see it.

holmessweetholmes · 15/05/2012 12:44

Funny - I kind of prefer skinnybatch too, even though I have never really liked skinny men before.

LetUsPrey · 15/05/2012 18:24

My work pc really doesn't like this page. It hangs when loading the ads so I can't post at lunchtime.

Anyway, BuffedupBatch definitely gets my vote! His arms, his chest, his legs .... Good grief his legs are amazing! And of course my eyes were drawn to the crotch area Blush. He doesn't disappoint.

Mind you, I love SkinnyBatch too so, you know, whichever is fine Grin

Just one question though: why the actual Jeff am I not frolicking in the surf alongside BC in LA?

CaveMum · 15/05/2012 18:34

Prey, I read something the other day which seemed to suggest that BC may be home sooner than we first thought. I think it was Cumberbatchweb who tweeted that it was odd that BC had not mentioned "Phoenix" in all his press interviews, and that nothing had actually been heard about the film since February. Perhaps it is no longer happening?

Hurry back to London BC, you've got plenty to do over here!

LetUsPrey · 15/05/2012 18:53

He'd better be home soon. I'm happy and everything that his career's going so well, etc and that it's less than a year till Star Trek when we'll see him in tight fitting top and trousers , but I we need him back in my house Britain.
