And on it goes ...

We may have had already, but I felt like watching and posting it again. SOooooooo adorable.

OP posts:
Fluffymonster · 10/05/2012 00:40

Just finished watching it! Loved it.

Really good questions, entertaining answers.

"Is your version of Irene Adler weaker because she has to be rescued?" (Ooooh...)

The "Who would you have tea with?" question and BC hypothesising about what it would be like with Martin from Cabin Pressure.

Possibility of taking Frankenstein to Broadway?

Sue Vertue firmly clarifying that they have nothing to do with 'Elementary' - and BC being very gracious about JLM and there being room for all of them.

The anecdote about BC being sent a whip in the post. hahaha

Steven Moffat saying what would be more funny than Sherlock and Dr Who meeting, would be a meeting between Amy Pond and Watson. (Totally agree!)

LetUsPrey · 10/05/2012 07:48

Think I'll have to watch it in chunks.

CaveMum · 10/05/2012 08:01

I watched the 4 parts someone put up on You Tube last week. It was nice to watch, but some of the questioners (is that a word?) made my teeth itch. Sorry!

"My friend drew a picture of you!" Big whoop! You have a panel of supremely talented people in front of you, ask a semi-intelligent question please!

Fluffymonster · 10/05/2012 12:01

Aww I thought that was quite sweet! But yes that did get a bit fangirlish admittedly.

I liked Sue Vertue's tights as well. :D

holmessweetholmes · 10/05/2012 14:03

Haven't watched it all yet, but I have every sympathy with people asking lame, fangirlish questions. I am supposedly an intelligent person with a degree and a sensible job, blah blah etc etc, but I think even being in the same room as bc would probably reduce me to a semi-hysterical puddle of lust. Blush

holmessweetholmes · 10/05/2012 14:16

Just can't get enough of that first naughty smokingbatch picture. It has seriously impeded my ability to do anything useful at all today.

LetUsPrey · 10/05/2012 19:12

Think I'll have to print out that first smokingbatch picture and add it to the display rota. Grin

fluffymonster - I also liked Sue Vertue's tights!

No idea what I'd ask BC in that position. What are your views on bigamy and stepchildren? Grin

holmessweetholmes · 10/05/2012 19:29

Ooh here's another one from the naughty smoking-batch collection yum

LetUsPrey · 10/05/2012 19:36
holmessweetholmes · 10/05/2012 20:26

Just watched the whole of the q+a. I liked the question about Sherlock's back-story - I often ponder on that. Mostly I just stared at bc though - no change there then! What do we think of the hair, ladies? Liking the colour, can't make up my mind about the style.

LetUsPrey · 10/05/2012 20:48

I'm about to explain myself very badly, just for a change.

I like the hair colour but I think part of liking it is that it's dyed for the part in Star Trek and he is more than likely (hopefully) to go back to his natural colour.

I quite like the style but again it seems to be for the Star Trek role . I much prefer his hair with a bit of a wave/curl in it.

CaveMum · 10/05/2012 21:00

Oh I know I'm being a grouchy pants about the questions. And yes I'd be the one incapable of stringing a coherent sentence together if I was ever in the same room as BC.

The smoking pictures are very very bad, in a good way (fierce anti-smoker here! What principles?)

TheAddict · 10/05/2012 21:33

Oh, the girly screaming at the beginning's a bit off-putting, especially as was trying to watch this without OH catching on...

Chez Addict has recovered from the somewhat outre weekend; MummyAddict returned to work to discover Evil Boss has decided I have to share my broomcupboard of an office with Young And Trendy Work Placement Girl who is not a BC fanatic (have kindly allowed her miniscule bit of noticeboard and told her to Leave My Stuff Alone - fortunately news of dysfunctional Addict Family has reached her and think she is frightened will introduce her to the Horror From The Mummy's Tomb [or possibly Womb] that is Minimus) ... but I digress... Adult Lit Class interupted by Strange Construction Worker who enquired whether I ran any courses on Working In Confined Spaces: I leered and explained that do have walk in stationery cupboard - exunt Strange Construction Worker stage left. Am inspired to expand my repertoire...

Dear Mr Cumberbatch

I desperately need you your body assistance in expanding my repertoire in ways you could not possibly imagine of Exciting And Creative sex Skills For Life. Yep, that sounds good to me

To this end, I would dearly like to see you with your shirt off stark naked and covered in Marmite tied to my bed in my stationery cupboard where I would like to shag you senseless allow you to shag me senseless indulge in a variety of quite mindblowingly filthy practices practice Working on you in a Confined Space oh yes oh yes oh yes varied perhaps with a little wild shagging Manual Handling Technique. Or quite probably a combination of the two. And some mindblowing filthy sex. Please.

Don't worry about Young And Trendy Work Placement Girl, who has an unslightly and shockingly illiterate tattoo no chance of joining in because I'll floor her if she even thinks about it a crush on Justin Bieber. Kids, huh?

Friday afternoon okay?

Yours in desperation

TheAddict

LetUsPrey · 10/05/2012 21:42

Apricot jam and now Marmite? Really TheAddict? Really?

Go and sit in the stationery cupboard by yourself and think about what you've said.

Go on. Tsk.

TheAddict · 10/05/2012 21:43

Dear Mr Cumberbatch

I note that my good friend Prey wishes to know your views on (a) bigamy and (b) stepchildren.

May I take this opportunity to remind you that I have
(a) a 38" bust
(b) a remarkable figure for my age
(c) an insatiable sex drive where you are concerned
(d) bum-length hair
(e) a filthy vivid imagination
(f) a black lace basque which leaves little to the imagination
(g) no legal spouse
(h) no objection to having any or all of my children adopted
(i) every Thursday afternoon off work.

I rest my case.

TheAddict

LetUsPrey · 10/05/2012 21:47

As far as food stuffs are concerned though, I've had a couple of packets of Space Dust/Popping Candy recently. I have heard tell there's interesting stuff you can do with Space Dust and a willing partner ...

TheAddict · 10/05/2012 21:49

Dear Prey

I'll have you know my Festive Apricot Jam And Marmite Trifle is (perhaps unsurprisingly) the talk of the Lower Peasmold WI.

The Addict

TheAddict · 10/05/2012 21:50

How about Space Dust and an unwilling partner?

LetUsPrey · 10/05/2012 21:58

Good grief, this computer's fecking slow tonight.

Unwilling partner - not as much fun I wouldn't think. Grin

As I've said previously, I'm not that picky with BC requirements but he does need to be willing. And nekkid. The nekkid part is also very important.

TheAddict · 10/05/2012 22:02

NB: Minimus has still not returned. For this relief, oh Lord, much thanks.

CaveMum · 10/05/2012 22:06

Right, if we're bragging about credentials I will add to the mix:

I am an expert horsewoman and therefore can (a) ride like hellfire and (b) am very handy with a riding crop
I am a very good dancer, and you know what they say about dancers
I scrub up alright given 48 hours to prepare and apply several coats of slap, so will look fab on your arm at all those red carpet dos
My husband is in the RAF and lives away from home Monday to Friday
I am only 5 years younger than you, so won't look like (a) your mother or (b) a teeny bopper fan girl

TheAddict · 10/05/2012 22:17

How ever is he going to choose betwen us??

I think we'll need a rota.

I bags Monday - Sunday.

Every week.

LetUsPrey · 10/05/2012 22:24
  1. I'm 5'11" and have a 34" inside leg.
  2. I'm only(?) six years older than you but have been reliably informed I don't act look my age.
  3. I can tap dance after a fashion and I'm not sure how much of a plus point this is.
  4. .... I .. er .. I can't think of anything else .
TheAddict · 10/05/2012 22:27

Well, all I can say is phaowr...

love him when he looks all thoughtful

holmessweetholmes · 10/05/2012 22:27

Wow - sudden flurry of rather competitive posts! I have been busy airing the house to get rid of the smell of the severely burnt pan which I forgot all about while watching the NY q+a Blush. So my credentials include being a dozy idiot.
