I thought I'd find you guys still drooling over discussing the Cumberbatch somewhere on here. I've been away/busy - what have I missed?

Twitter seems to be absolutely bursting with new pictures today - my favourite set so far is these ones, particularly the second from bottom on the left. Oh yes.

Meanwhile, I have almost finished watching the DVDs of Fortysomething, and found it a bit disconcerting - he's so young, and he's playing the son of Hugh Laurie who's another celeb crush of mine - surely Hugh Laurie isn't old enough to really be his dad?

exexpat · 03/05/2012 13:25

OMG

holmessweetholmes · 03/05/2012 17:30

Wow, exexpat. Just... Wow! That last link... Words fail me.

TheAddict · 03/05/2012 17:57

Oh my god.

Words fail me.

Oh my god.

TheAddict · 03/05/2012 18:50

And so to the matter in hand:

Dear Mr Cumberbatch

I trust that you will not think that I am some sort of weird cyberstalker not bloody much, I'm not but a recent video clip has been brought to my notice and an idea occurs to me. More than one actually; I fantasize about astounding you with my versatility, not to mention an amazing range of completely filthy suggestions.

Should you ever be in need of someone to caress your thigh for you, I would be more than willing to do so Get behind me, girls, and form an orderly queue: you may need to bring sandwiches as this will take some considerable time.

Yours in lust, hope and anguish

I have had the shittest of all shit days. Exexpat - that link has actually made me smile! And believe me, that is something of an achievement.

Dear Benedict [first name terms doncha know]

A video has been brought to my lustful attention of you stroking your thigh. I have long been an admirer of your hands. This adds to that admiration.

It is my hope and belief that you are highly skilled with your hands and fingers but consider that proof is needed. I'll be round at a friend's house tomorrow evening so if you'd like to call round (I'm sure she can leave for the evening), I'd appreciate the opportunity to discover exactly how skilled you are with your hands stroking ... well any part of my body if I'm strictly honest.

See you at about 8pm.

Love

I thought you might all like that link. It is very, um, very, well, very interesting, isn't it?

I think I need to look at that link again to make sure I didn't imagine how insanely amazing it was. Just for research purposes obviously.

LetUsPrey · 03/05/2012 20:33

Nope. Didn't imagine it. It is jolly well insanely amazing.

Although, one teeny tiny thing I'd like to mention. That jacket's, er, not nice is it?

CaveMum · 03/05/2012 20:37

Nothing to say, but phwoar!!!

LetUsPrey · 03/05/2012 20:43

Balls. I meant the brown jacket from the PBS interview thing not the one he's wearing in the video where he strokes his leg in a quite .. amazing .. fantastic .. fashion ..

Sorry, where was I?

LetUsPrey · 03/05/2012 22:11

Love how he's trying to act all innocent in . I think the interviewer realises though.

And in which is where the leg-stroking is taken from , just keep an eye out for his hands around 53-57 seconds. Oh my oh my OH MY!

LetUsPrey · 03/05/2012 22:19

Right. I'm going to post from YouTube.

I am not going to comment on it because I am in the midst of drinking a rather large vodka and coke. I therefore do not trust myself not to post anything very very rude.

I am stopping typing now.

TheAddict · 03/05/2012 22:31

Ha! Have finished packing Miminus's stuff. He moves out tomorrow. Informs me that he 'needs' the collection of cheapo porn tat unearthed from under his bed (takes a brave woman to look under there). Does not, apparently, need the collection of pizza boxes which were keeping stack of porn tat company. Threw hissy fit (he, not I) and informed me he needs some peace and quiet as he has homework to do. Do not remember him bringing hod of bricks home.

Primus and SO arrive for weekend tomorrow night. Have not stocked up on food as they will take any with them that is not actually nailed down.

Secundus and Tertius ask if they can be bridesmaids.

Stopped trying to hold my head up in this neighbourhood years ago.

Am considering suggesting 'Priscilla Queen Of The Desert' themed wedding.

As register office allows music but not with any vaguely religious connection, SO has suggested they sign register to 'I Am What I Am.' Am more convinced than ever that he and Primus are made for each other.

None of you can seriously admire my nestlings, surely to God??

TheAddict · 03/05/2012 22:42

Ooh, Prey thanks for the YouTube link - I'd not spotted that one.

How can any man be so bloody beautiful?

Lust lust...

LetUsPrey · 03/05/2012 22:42

TheAddict - I think we should all come to the wedding! It sounds fab.

I have a split personality 10 year old Teen In Training whose teachers I think would not be surprised if he actually turned lead into gold. To be fair, he is mostly okay but argumentative is not the word.

I also have a five year old who strops at the slightest refusal and calls everyone at home - with the exception of the cat - a "poohead". We're thinking of hiring him out as some kind of early warning siren.

I love them to bits! Smile

Anyway, enough slushy stuff. Let's get back to lusting over BC! Although I am going to bed very soon full of vodka.

LetUsPrey · 03/05/2012 22:43

X-post!

TheAddict · 03/05/2012 22:52

Prey - can we borrow your youngest as a pageboy? I think he'd fit right in.

I don't want to be the one to have to tell you that The Worst Is Yet To Come..

LetUsPrey · 03/05/2012 23:02

Borrow away TheAddict!

I am slightly steeled for the years ahead. My older sister has three children - nearly 24 year old son, very lovely and actually wasn't ever too bad; a 20 year son, also lovely but a lot bit of a know-it-all (although he is super-clever so it does counteract the annoyance factor a tiny bit); and a very nearly 17 year old girl who has had her Moments but is also very very lovely. On and off though, they were all Proper Teenagers.

Steeled but in no way prepared.

Lusting after the lushness that is BC will keep me going. It's obviously working for you! Grin

LetUsPrey · 03/05/2012 23:04

Oooh check me out. Really quite pished and using semi-colons.

Seraphine1 · 04/05/2012 21:08

Hi everyone!

Found two new articles today:

www.slate.com/articles/arts/culturebox/2012/05/pbs_sherlock_holmes_steven_moffat_and_benedict_cumberbatch_interview_.html

www.etonline.com/tv/121499_Benedict_Cumberbatch_Talks_Sherlock_Season_Two/index.html#.T6QEE-4X6fo.twitter

I did a quick scan here first, but I apologise in advance in case they were already posted.

LetUsPrey · 05/05/2012 08:29

I've just booked my tickets to go and see Frankenstein (JLM as monster) in June!!!!!!!! Squeeeeeeeeeee!!!!!!!!

TheAddict · 05/05/2012 09:56

Oh lucky Prey!

Was hoping that performing-artsy Primus might decide to treat his old Mum to a night out at 'Frankenstein', but doesn't look likely after last night: don't think he'd trust me to behave myself.

TheAddict, as you know, is pretty unshockable: however, ladies, if you're ever going to get squiffy on champagne with your eldest son and his SO, and SO spots the Sherlock DVDs on the shelf, don't turn tomato-coloured when the SO comments that he fancies BC something rotten.

Primus commented 'Oh God, not you too Ma' and proceeded to tease me - and SO - unmercilessly.

Eventually the three of us settled down to a Sherlock-fest and another bottle of fizz.

Thank God OH is away.

LetUsPrey · 05/05/2012 10:07

Grin at TheAddict. No idea when TTSS is due to be on but I am already practicing my "straight-faced, serious, I'm watching a spy thriller" face, rather than my "soppy, grinny, phwoary, it's so hot when he punches someone, I want to shag him" face.

Thanks for the links Seraphine1. V enjoyable Smile
