[klaxon] New BC interview alert!

He's working out for 2 hours a day Grin [faints]

Fluffymonster · 25/04/2012 19:46

Sloppygirl - any luck with watching Third Star on iplayer? It seems to work OK when I press the play icon on this page www.bbc.co.uk/iplayer/episode/b01gkj7x/Third_Star/. Or is that a bit too obvious (sorry very non-techie person here).

Has anyone been reading Vaughan Sivell's film blog? He's written a new post about the last day of filming. If you're interested in the film-making process, the details of characterisation, and some insightful pieces about the actors - the blog in general is a fascinating read.

Well what a travesty that Sherlock didn't make it in to the Best Series nominations! How ridiculous is that??! Considering the impact it has had on the nation's (thinking) women (and men). And it's not even just the cumberfever it unleashed - it genuinely is a quality programme - very well written, acted, filmed. Travesty.

We can register our disappointment here. [shakes fist at Bafta]

Two more things - LadyClarice - Green. With. Envy....Still! Envy

LetUsPrey - Yes I do see your lovely links!!! Don't stop pls. I have a memory like a goldfish and need constant reminding. Grin

LetUsPrey · 25/04/2012 20:15

Working out? For two hours a day?

sloppygirl · 25/04/2012 20:19

Thanks so much Fluffymonster....IT WORKS !!!! Have saved it to watch over weekend when I have time to drool. Thanks so much for this. I love all your heads up as to when he will be on and where..I am going to invest in IPhone too..I am a technaphobe, but I am also going to get SkyPlus and a proper new IPOd so that I can buy Cabin Pressure and listen in peace...( Also Casanova..) I will work it all out I am sure, and meanwhile Apple should be giving BC commission. Sorry for typos..eyes still bloody sore and I am supposed to limit time on computer ! Once work is over, this seriously limits my BC time..!!

Love to all and sweet BC dreams...

LetUsPrey · 25/04/2012 20:28

Don't forget Third Star is only available for three more days!

Fluffymonster · 25/04/2012 21:00

Great - glad to have been of help sloppygirl!

Cavemum - thanks for the new interview link. Ah bless his pink cotton socks, I can just imagine him having a bit of a giggle to himself at the end, about getting a surreptitious taste of Bud!

sloppygirl · 25/04/2012 23:12

LetUsPrey.
I managed to download Third Star from IPlayer so that I can keep it for 30 days..Don't ask me how, I did it by accident I think, but it took around 30 minutes and then it was there....!

LetUsPrey · 26/04/2012 07:22

Thought you might have done something like that when you said it was saved but I didn't want you to miss it just in case!

CaveMum · 26/04/2012 07:54

Loving the Sherlock Signs from Cumberbatchweb.

LetUsPrey · 26/04/2012 08:14

Hahahaha! Love them!

Also, just to clarify - he needs to bulk up a bit so he's working out because he's playing a villain in the new Star Trek film who can resist a Vulcan nerve pinch , which means he'll be doing a few fight scenes . And all whilst wearing rather tight-fitting trousers.

Squeeeeeeee!

CaveMum · 26/04/2012 09:16

[admires the Prey shaped puddle on the floor]

squeee indeed! I seem to have a thing for skinny types (Messrs Tennant, Smith, Marsters, etc) but the thought of a bulked up BC? [faints in ecstacy]

LetUsPrey · 26/04/2012 13:23

Don't think I have a "type". "Happened" to catch a bit of Deadly 60 on CBBC this morning just as Steve Backshall was getting into a pool in Brazil wearing only his shorts. Phwoar.

I am obviously an Equal Opportunties Lech Grin

LadyClariceCannockMonty · 26/04/2012 15:25

I'm a bit wary about BC bulking up, I have to say; I tend to like rangy men and loved him most in the first series of Sherlock and in Third Star when he was REALLY thin, pale and interesting.

Re: Third Star, yes, it's downloadable so you can hang on to it til the end of May. I've got it already; waiting for Saturday night when DP goes out so I have an excuse to watch it.

[KLAXON] New interview by NYTimes.

BC certainly does like his dramatic metaphors doesn't he? A 'knife in his thigh' in this case, 'guns pointing to his head', 'lawyers in cupboards' elsewhere...lol. Nice piece though.

And the interview is pretty good as well. fnar fnar.

CaveMum · 26/04/2012 17:02

"Pull the hair on my head the wrong way and I would be on my knees begging for mercy"

I'm saying nothing more Grin

LadyClariceCannockMonty · 26/04/2012 17:03

'Mr Cumberbatch' Grin Those Americans ? they're so cute.

'on my knees begging for mercy.'

'thin and muscular'

OP posts:
Fluffymonster · 26/04/2012 17:11

I know!!! I wonder if he realises the effect, certain phrases like that can have on a person? Grin

LadyClariceCannockMonty · 26/04/2012 17:22

Well, it was the interviewer who slavered said the thin-and-muscular thing ... Grin

OP posts:
LetUsPrey · 26/04/2012 18:15

Off to read interview. It sounds ver interesting and, er, informative.

LetUsPrey · 26/04/2012 18:27

"I've got to be a complete and utter tease"

And the line about pulling his hair the wrong way and him being on his knees begging for mercy?

Actually, this is something else I'm going to need first hand, personal proof of. Has to be done.

TheAddict · 26/04/2012 18:56

Ha! Work related BC triumph for TheAddict! Smile

In order to appease boss, have started to be More Creative in Adult Literacy: provided students with copies of photos, asked them to think of a short paragraph to describe what they thought photo was about, then write the paragraph out.

For some unaccountable reason, all the photos were of BC oh what a surprise - and of course not only is my office wall covered with evidence of my total obsession with the man the resources needed in my classes but of course so is the notice board in my teaching area

I don't know why, but suddenly I feel a whole lot happier about going into work... Grin

LetUsPrey · 26/04/2012 23:18

This is from the Frankenstein production. I'm fairly sure this is Benedict as the monster. And, oh look, he's nekkid. Grin

TheAddict · 27/04/2012 01:48

Cor!

Don't think I'd better use that photo in class...

prints photograph anyway to put in private folder

CaveMum · 27/04/2012 08:14

Another Sherlock article from Vogue, including a picture I'm sure Prey will appreciate!

Also, swoon - another shot from his NY Times interview.

LetUsPrey · 27/04/2012 08:23

F... me (too early for swears on here!)

Love how the article discusses Andrew Scott and Martin Freeman too. And the picture is awesome too.

That second picture though? I actually whimpered when I saw it! His hair, his face, his body, those forearms.... and I found myself staring at his crotch again Blush
