You are totally innocent - you have done nothing and in the morning you wake up and find a suitcase with £1m in the garden.

WWYD?

If you reported it to the police, do you get any of it?

TessTickular · 17/02/2012 11:59

YABU.

Newmummytobe79 · 17/02/2012 18:09

DH would keep it

I'd hand it in

At least we'd have 1/2 million quid stashed in the wardrobe Grin

Sorry to hijack ... but lottery winners as neighbours! Come on! Tell us all about them! sat here picturing a red ferarri on the drive of a £150k house

Pocketsocks · 17/02/2012 19:59

I'd be wondering how the heck it got in my garden with all the fencing and considering the possibility that two swallows carried it on a strand of creeper

Mandy2003 · 17/02/2012 20:20

Similar was actually in the paper today: £21,000 in used £20 notes in a wicker basket on someone's doorstep in Lytham-St-Annes!

Of course I'd hand it to the police. It's not mine

OliviaMumsnet · 17/02/2012 20:30

Hmm
I have been pondering this
But while I do, I shall move it to WWYD?
Thanks

Finders keepers losers weepers....

SamuelWestsMistress · 17/02/2012 21:27

I'd tell no one, I'd hide it somewhere then I'd wait a few months to see if there was any news on it missing! Once I got the all clear I'd spend it all on doing up our house and garden to gold tap standards. I would give some to charity of course just for karma's sake (well if there was any left!)

Honeydragon · 18/02/2012 00:51

Smoothly done Olivia Hmm

FlyingLugholes · 18/02/2012 00:59

I'd hand it into the police immediately (painfully honest).

Then desperately hope that it was never claimed and would all be given to me.

tb · 22/02/2012 19:48

I'd be a bit shocked, tbh, 'cos it's the blasted euro where I live Grin
