Just the weekly silent sunday pic from me today

OP posts:
overmydeadbody · 29/01/2012 13:16

Finally, I am sewing again after quite a long break, and have made a toy gun bandolier and about why I abandoned my view that I wouldn't have toy guns in the house (that was my pre-children ideal)

overmydeadbody · 29/01/2012 13:20

Queen your header is all blurry, I cannot read the writing, is it me and my computer or your blog? I can read the posts just fine, it is just the bit at the top.

I have now sold over three thousand books.

I'm feeling quite pleased with myself that despite having a childhood that's a bit like a misery memoir, I have finally started to believe in myself a lot more and am on my way to achieving the things that I was always told were beyond my grasp. :)

overmydeadbody · 29/01/2012 16:29

Wow MmeGuillotine, that is amazing! Well done to you, it must be good to be getting your self esteem built up.

BaronessOrczy · 29/01/2012 17:16

Well done Mme!

I've just posted a little love in with olive oil - can't get enough of the stuff!

BsDad · 29/01/2012 17:48

Find out if I'm brave or stupid for letting my son attend his big brother's mad house party...

MmeGuillotine · 29/01/2012 18:17

Thank you! I don't think I'll ever have anything approaching even normal levels of self esteem but this has definitely improved things a lot! :)

JoanneMallon · 29/01/2012 20:58

oh wow MmeG that is pretty frickin amazing. I was wetting myself on Friday night because my book about toddlers went into the top 3 of its section on Amazon so I can imagine how you're feeling.

A few short posts from me over the weekend - I did a review of a book from Twin Peaks, revealed the hideous things my children did to The Guardian and had an online shopping fail.

lowimpactmama · 29/01/2012 21:44

Wow Mme great news - you should feel so proud of yourself Smile

JoanneM love the graffiti the guardian Grin

Overmydeadbody love the bandolier. Interesting about boys and toy weapons - my son is still a bit small, so not something I've had to worry about, but Flamingobingo (who I miss Sad) had a good post on Free Your Parenting about it a while back...basically, you're right not to get too het up about it as it's a normal part of imaginative play (or something!).

Been a hectic week of head cold (boring) and getting some stuff sorted for baby (exciting). But finally managed to blog - a quick catch up including how to make crunchy peanut butter cookies

Lifeofanexpatparent · 29/01/2012 22:06

I may be alone in this, but here's my adaptation of the Bucket List.

The "Suck At" List

FiveHoursSleep · 30/01/2012 13:22

A self indulgent Monday Moan

yummymummyreally · 30/01/2012 15:17

Here's my follow up post on Maternity Wear:

Maternity Wear: How to make do with what you've got

and if you missed it, the first part:

Maternity Wear: the do's, don'ts and wear to find it

Feel free to share with any pregnant friends!

Still full of cold... Sad but getting better by eating cake! Smile Hope everyone is well, and I promise promise to catch up properly this week with all your blogs!

singlemarriedmum · 30/01/2012 15:18

Congrats MmeGuillotine and JoanneMallon - what fantastic news!

Overmydeadbody the bandolier is such a great idea. Looking forward to showing your pics to my boys when they get back from school.

singlemarriedmum · 30/01/2012 15:23

Our house is gripped by den-mania at the moment - well it's all about self-expression, isn't it?!

OutrageousFlavourLikeFreesias · 30/01/2012 16:11

MmeGuillotine, well done, that's fantastic! I'm really impressed (maybe a bit Envy as well).

Joanne, I didn't know there was a new edition of the Secret Diary out - thank you for sharing...also fantastic news about your Amazon ranking!

I don't have any exciting news about my book sales, but I think I might have found one of the world's least reassuring advertising claims

SophRunning · 30/01/2012 16:25

Hello all! I've started with a rant this week.

Please -- Let's End This BFF Bullshit!

SweetestThing · 30/01/2012 17:25

Well done, MmeGuillotine

Guess who's coming to tea? - today's blog includes the power of social media, amongst other things.

FiveHoursSleep · 30/01/2012 17:56

SophRunning I can't reply to your blog as I eed the URL/Name option but I have to say I so agree. DDs 1 and 3 aren't too worried but DD2 is completely obsessed with the ides of a BFF. It drives me mad.

louhutt · 30/01/2012 18:06

I have questions can you help? www.theworkingparent.nlogspot.com

louhutt · 30/01/2012 18:07

Erm try this www.theworkingparent.blogspot.com

SophRunning · 30/01/2012 18:33

FiveHoursSleep - I'm so glad you agree! It's insidious.

PetiteRaleuse · 30/01/2012 19:07

MmeG that is fantastic news - well done you, it is very well deserved.

I'm marking my place here as I have been a very lazy blogger recently, and looks like I shall be for some time. I am preparing a massive rant about a nasty childcare cost surprise I have just had but am rewording so I don't give too much away.

ruthybabe83 · 30/01/2012 19:42

Hi from a newbie! It was my son's first birthday this weekend, so my post was about my cake baking fun, and how much this meant to me. www.blog.cumming.me.uk

I'll check out some of these other new posts now....
