Thank you for the lovely comments! :)

Here's today's post, about the famous bust of Nefertiti. :)

Marking place.

evening all.

MmeG well done on the book sales. And I read your blog post about self-publishing with great interest...

I've been fairly lazy to of late, but here is today's offering in response to

QueenMaeve · 30/01/2012 22:17

Seeing as how it's so cold and wintery, I've just posted a recipe for simple mushroom soup

SophRunning another one here who totally agrees with you. Ridiculous.

Mme, I'm doing an Amazon order today, your book is on my wishlist!

SophRunning · 31/01/2012 10:18

BaronessOrczy: thank you. And I've just discovered your blog, which is absolutely beautiful as well as mouth-watering! Such gorgeous photos. My February menu options just got a lot more interesting :-)

BaronessOrczy · 31/01/2012 10:26

Blush thank you Soph I'm working on a foodie blog which is related to my company, which is much better in terms of photography than my personal one - but I'm not sure I'll be allowed to have it on here, even though it's still me!

FiveHoursSleep · 31/01/2012 10:39

A review of a fabulous Kids CD

MmeGuillotine · 31/01/2012 12:59

Aw, thank you, Baroness! :D

Today's post is inspired by someone emailing me to accuse me of being 'un feminist' because I am interested in Ripperology.

RhinestoneCowgirl · 31/01/2012 13:37

Just been enjoying a post-lunch cuppa and catching up with some blogs :)

MmeG - really good news! Have enjoyed your first two books and third is on my reading list.

Latest post is about finishing off my daughter's quilt

MmeGuillotine · 31/01/2012 13:41

Oh wow, thank you! I'm so glad you liked them! :D

YoungDebbie · 31/01/2012 14:47

In which DD takes up stamp-collecting (well, we do live in an old post office, so maybe there are some local vibes in its favour!)

The Power of the Postage Stamp

(It may be an old-fashioned hobby for a 21st century child, but at least it doesn't take up much space!)

Badgerwife · 31/01/2012 16:36

I've tried to remember some of the things that surprised me about England when I first came over thirteen years ago Culture shock: the early days

YoungDebbie · 31/01/2012 17:06

Definitely in an old-fashioned frame of mind lately - my latest post is about looking after a family heirloom that I hope DD will learn to treasure too (or at least not to wear it out with her constant renditions of chopsticks!)

Tuning Grandma's piano

Well done MmeG, that's very impressive!

Very busy at the moemnt but trying to kepp blogging regularly - I have a couple of spare ones in reserve but then always seem to post about something completely different. Here's a mention of one of the Olympic athlete's visit to the DSs' school today, which ties in nicely with our latest book!

a farewell to january from me. got caught up on a good few of yours last night Smile has anyone joined a triberr thingy? some other blogger asked me to join their 'tribe'. I don't have a clue about this stuff?

yummymummyreally · 31/01/2012 21:13

MmeG congrats! And is it poor that I only recognise the word Nefertiti from watching The Mummy films ? My ongoing self-improvement on history knowledge got as far as the war of the roses and the Tudors, ably helped by the tv series (although frustrating inaccurate it was too).

joanneM congrats... You will top that chart before you know it!

And to all...still working to catch up... But will comment as I go. Have added stumbleupon to my repertoire so will also like where I can via that too!

donttrythisathome · 31/01/2012 21:46

Have caught up on as many as possible and commented. Such an interesting varied bunch! And congrats on the book sales, fab!

share with others what your children have been learning just through life
