star anise. Excellent timing! I was feeling particularly disorganised and rubbish as a mother yesterday as it took my daughter to remind me she needed her spelling book for school (she is 5). She handed it to me. And I didn't manage to get it from my hand into her school bag. When I returned after the school run it was lying innocently on the floor by the sofa smirking at me. She was not happy.
Neither were in in-laws, who had no sympathy, and couldn't understand how I could forget things like that at all, despite having been working parents of two boys themselves. Apparently the solution is a batch of pieces of paper, labelled up with the days of the week, on which you write jobs due on that day, and throw the paper each night, transferring any undone jobs to the next day. Working a week at a time.
And where are you supposed to keep this batch of paper? The cutlery drawer apparently. Which is clever, but would only have helped me had I required a spoon between taking custody of spelling book and running out the front door!
Oooo...sorry about the rant! Feeling relieved I am not alone!
That was all supposed to be you comments page...but I couldn't get the URL option!
