Morning!

I wrote a slightly deranged review of Agatha Raisin books at 3am this morning. I haven't edited it as I never fail to be amused by the leaps my insomniac mind makes when really it just wants me to leave it alone and let it sleep.

Oops! I posted in the wrong week. So this is my post today.

Another deranged review, this time of lurid Victorian epic The Pleasures of Men by Kate Williams.

MmeGuillotine I've now got a Kindle so I can order your first book about Marie Antoinette.

MmeGuillotine · 22/01/2012 19:19

Ooh, thank you! I hope you like it! :D xx

In this post, I talk about the extent to which we do or should behave in a sisterly fashion with other women and bloggers.
Welcome feedback.

Here's my post, relevant to all wannabe (children's) writers - it's about reading through the dreaded slush pile...

This week I have asked my dear wife to be my first guest blogger. She shares her experiences of the school run.

Staranise, thank you! My book is quite different to Antonia Fraser's as it's supposed to be a Young Adult book but um I have yet to find evidence of anyone under the age of eighteen buying a copy. I expect this is how Stephanie Meyer feels, only far more richly... ;)

Hi everyone!

Tonight I have been indulging in kitchen porn, and have posted about my ideal kitchen

overmydeadbody · 22/01/2012 21:10

Oh NO!

I just stupidly linked to something completely random that I had obviously copied onto my clipboard my mistake Blush

My Ideal Kitchen blog post is actually here

So sorry

wannaBe · 22/01/2012 21:17

MmeG are any of your books on iBooks? Kindle is unfortunately beyond my realms in terms of accessibility, but I have just discovered iBooks which is completely accessible (and is going to cost me a fortune I feel). Grin

//www.forty-not-out.com what happened to Sunday evenings

lowimpactmama · 22/01/2012 21:49

Evening all!

Tonight's post is why I hate the phrase good baby...and while we're at it yesterday's post was about putting the eco into economical.

I will be checking blogs soon...once i climb out from under the ironing mountain I've been ignoring by blogging instead Grin

MmeGuillotine · 22/01/2012 21:51

Wannabe, I'm informed that the Marie Antoinette book can be bought from the Apple store, if that's any good? It's The Secret Diary of a Princess by Melanie Clegg. :)

The others are only for Kindle at the moment though but I'm probably going to bring out special limited paperback editions at some point this year. :)

Today's post on The Camel's Hump is all about the birth and death of galaxies. So, nothing big :)

Morning all

I've cheated today by reblogging something I posted about on The Camel's Hump about something which makes me a bit ranty, women in industry awards

Another Kindle user here Mme, and I've put the Princess in my wishlist for the next time I'm having an Amazon sesh!

SenseofEntitlement · 23/01/2012 10:20

I know it's not what you meant, but does anyone know what the 'reblog' button does on wordpress?

MorganP · 23/01/2012 10:32

Hi all, I'm new to this. Just signed up a few seconds ago. My second blog post is up now, I'd love it if you would check it out. Thanks. j.mp/xDkCbL

BaronessOrczy · 23/01/2012 11:29

Reblog posts something already published elsewhere to your own blog, Sense

So rather than reuploading something, you can just clilk on reblog and choose which blog you want to post it to, and credit the original source, et voila!

BaronessOrczy · 23/01/2012 11:31

Click, I mean.

Anyway. I have just blogged right now, this very minute, about last night's BBC adapatation of Birdsong and why I'm conflicted about seeing Warhorse.

I have a new very easy and cheat filled recipe for Better Than Shop Bought Pie. Its doubly good as there are no crappy preservatives and no salt either, as well as observations on cooking beads, blind baking and Mary Berry. lazygirlscook.blogspot.com/2012/01/better-than-shop-bought-pie.html
