Morning!

I wrote a slightly deranged review of Agatha Raisin books at 3am this morning. I haven't edited it as I never fail to be amused by the leaps my insomniac mind makes when really it just wants me to leave it alone and let it sleep.

It took me 6 hours to write this post

Good evening. I have written about an example of where the press respect privacy and how refreshing it is

I have a new competition to win a slanket, and no bugger is entering. Can't think why. Must have finally plumbed a depth too deep even for the compers. I had far more takers when I gave away a foot grater.

And over on our mother and daughter blog, my daughter has introduced me. It's kind of random but the picture is good.

star anise oh no... Your blog post has made me pull my sad face! It's one thing to know, in the back of your mind, that a slush pile exists, it's quite another to see a picture of one! It's putting me off sending mine back out anywhere. I am also now worried that what I've written is rubbish, but no-one is coming straight out and saying so!

Oh well, I guess that's the life of a wannabe children's writer! At least I have less cringeworthy character names.......I think.... Oh pants!

five hours sleep it's no wonder new mums are obsessed by the sleep question is it! I lost track of how many people asked me... Is she sleeping through? All mums. Because they can gauge how irrational and scary you might be based of how much sleep you are getting!

Mine are five and three now... And I am generally still barely functional due to not enough sleep!

MmeGuillotine, I've never heard of Agatha Raisin before but now I really, really want to go and read the books...thank you for sharing!

Several million years after everyone else, I finally got around to reading "The Vampire Diaries". I was sold on this by a friend who swore blind that it was "like Twilight, only, you know, well-written and you don't want to kill the heroine twenty pages into the story." I tried very, very hard to like this book. I really did.

Anyone want to guess how well that went?

I have had a ponder about junk mail and spam this morning.

I'm aware I'm getting away from the point a bit, so am going to make a concerted effort to talk about food over the next week!
