I wrote a slightly deranged review of Agatha Raisin books at 3am this morning. I haven't edited it as I never fail to be amused by the leaps my insomniac mind makes when really it just wants me to leave it alone and let it sleep.

We are a plague house this week. Help!

Can new friendships ever really rival old ones when you reach your 30's/40's+? What do you think? Are we often too stuck in our ways to give them a go?

A rant about short memories and how another blogger gave me a bit of a lightbumb moment. Am feeling a bit thick actually.

Oh no yummymummyreally, I'd hate to put anyone off - we have published stuff from the slushpile and I have submitted stuff myself. I think that you just have to be realistic about how many submissions publishers get (a LOT!) and therefore be prepared to wait (months)) for a response. We do read everything (and many other publishers also do) so it's always worth chasing your submission to nudge publishers to read it first. I also find I get through the electronic submissions faster and also respond to them faster, though perhaps that's just me. Best of luck!

Does bad grammar in song lyrics bother you?

Looking at the "pending" list, we have a couple coming up about grammar, with opposing views, which I like. Hopefully we can start a bit of a debate.

And, as a kind of riposte to the last post, In Defence of Bad Language

I'm hoping we get a bit of a debate going on here. Where do you all stand on the issue of bad grammar?
