Seeing as the Sherlock discussions are dying down I thoguth I'd start a new thread for all the BC fans out there - judging by the number of MNers with him on their "List", he surely deserves his own thread.

So here it is: a place to share videos, pictures, articles and whatever else you want. The only thing I'll say is that I'd appreciate it if no one posted a link to the video(s) of BC dancing at a wedding. Apparently it was stolen from his ex girlfriend and is the cause of much upset. So lets be respectful. Otherwise, anything goes Grin

I'll get us started with some personal favourites:

- pay close attention to the wink @ 0.42 and his whip action @ 0.51 Grin

And finally some gratuitous , with my personal favourite the black and white shot featured at 2.53 [drools]

Share/comment away Grin

According to Twitter Cumberbatchweb.com has added new photos to their gallery. Includes photos of BC at The Golden Globe Awards 2 weeks ago.

Also, In the GQ 50 Best Dressed Men poll, BC was voted in at 40. A travesty!

How's your pulse rate?

Saltire · 01/02/2012 09:23

Sorry, I keep getting messages saying that mumsnet is offline when I am in the middle of posting something.

What I wanted to say was - just like Harry potter, he has his mum's eyes Grin

MissWooWoo · 01/02/2012 09:26

OMG! I'm way behind (no pun intended) here but that naked backshot! What a lovely way to start the day Grin

can thoroughly recommend Tinker Tailor, he's not in it as much as I would have like but my god does he look sharp! fab film too.

pah to GQ they know nothing!

Kayzr · 01/02/2012 09:35

Oh yes Tinker Tailor!! He looks absolutely amazing in a suit.

I read somewhere that he is bulking up for the Star Trek film.

LadyClariceCannockMonty · 01/02/2012 09:44

I hope he hasn't bulked up TOO much. I like the long and lean look personally :-)

Although I won't be going to see Star Trek anyway ? I can't be arsed with things set in space. Not even for Benedict.

DesperateHousewife21 · 01/02/2012 09:55

Im not a fan of star trek either although dh is. I prefer BC looking like an actual person rather than some weird sci-fi character.

His mum was v pretty when younger but can see he gets the majority of his looks from his dad.

MissWooWoo · 01/02/2012 10:11

another non trekkie here - and yy to not too much bulking up

his mum is hot!

if you didn't catch and on the radio do have a listen, it's a real treat (esp if you like French & Saunders - which I do) and I can honestly say that bottle glass of champagne and this on the radio in the kitchen was one of my best bits of that christmas.

Saltire · 01/02/2012 10:13

thought you might like to see this
Apologies if it's already been posted Grin

LadyClariceCannockMonty · 01/02/2012 10:22

MissWooWoo, that radio piece is fabulous isn't it? I thought Benedict and his mum came across really well, and French and Saunders, who I'm not crazy about on telly, were wonderful radio presenters ? genuinely funny, warm, anarchic.

CaveMum · 01/02/2012 10:23

Agreed that the lean look is more him, but I'm not going to knock him back if he bulks up Grin

I'm not really a "space" fan, but I quite enjoyed the first Star Trek film (the new one, not the old one!). I shall play the martyr with DH and tell him if he really wants me to go to the cinema with him to see the latest one, I will. But only because he wants me to and not so that I can drool over BC Wink

LadyClariceCannockMonty · 01/02/2012 10:26

My DP is a Star Trek fan, loves Zachary Quinto, and likes Benedict too (although he pretends not to like Benedict very much ? I think he has some idea of the depth of my obsession appreciation, is jealous and feels the need to play it cool about him). So he'll be in seventh heaven! I really can't bear to sit through a Star Trek film if Benedict is 'aliened' up with stupid make-up, horns, or whatever they're going to do to him.

For some reason though I'm much more relaxed about the idea of watching him as the dragon in the Hobbit films. Maybe because I think it will show off his physical-acting skills and he'll be amazing.

DesperateHousewife21 · 01/02/2012 10:30

Im not usually a fan of those films but I will sit through The Hobbit just to see him in it.

saltire aw baby Benedict! I wasn't even alive when he was a toddler! Actually I wasnt even alive when he was an early teen Grin

MissWooWoo · 01/02/2012 10:32

fab piece of radio yes, really enjoy their shows, just been listening again and feel all warm and fuzzy inside.

now really, I must get on!

Saltire · 01/02/2012 10:45

Can someone re-post the link to the t-shirts please? I would like to buy one for myself

DesperateHousewife21 · 01/02/2012 11:00

I reeeaaallllyyyy want a T-shirt too!

Fluffymonster · 01/02/2012 11:05

Hello

New to this thread but been lurking (and drooling) for a few days - thank you CaveMum! He's amazing isn't he - so talented, distinctively beautiful, intelligent, funny - and he seems like a lovely person as well.

Not sure if this has been posted up already (apologies if it has!). Evening Standard travel piece he wrote on the Seychelles.

LetUsPrey · 01/02/2012 12:46

My best friend is a Star Trek fan and I went with her to watch the first "new" film when it came out. I shall be volunteering to accompany her to the next one just because I'm that good a friend. Although to be honest I did really enjoy the film and would go to see the new one even if Benedict wasn't in it.

That travel article! Oh wow, "never come to paradise alone". D'you reckon there'd be much of a queue of volunteers to go with him? Grin

If there was an audio of him reading that piece, I think I'd spontaneously combust listening to it. I'm already quite flushed just imagining his voice reading it.

DesperateHousewife21 · 01/02/2012 13:05

BC in swimming trunks mmmm!

LadyClariceCannockMonty · 01/02/2012 13:14

They're quite bad shorts though, aren't they?

DesperateHousewife21 · 01/02/2012 13:17

Well I don't mind of he took them off tbh.

I found this website selling Sherlock t shirts and hoodies.

LetUsPrey · 01/02/2012 13:17

And in a wetsuit!

DesperateHousewife21 · 01/02/2012 13:20

Someone please stop me buying them all. You can choose men/women style fits or hoodies.
