Seeing as the Sherlock discussions are dying down I thoguth I'd start a new thread for all the BC fans out there - judging by the number of MNers with him on their "List", he surely deserves his own thread.

So here it is: a place to share videos, pictures, articles and whatever else you want. The only thing I'll say is that I'd appreciate it if no one posted a link to the video(s) of BC dancing at a wedding. Apparently it was stolen from his ex girlfriend and is the cause of much upset. So lets be respectful. Otherwise, anything goes Grin

I'll get us started with some personal favourites:

- pay close attention to the wink @ 0.42 and his whip action @ 0.51 Grin

And finally some gratuitous , with my personal favourite the black and white shot featured at 2.53 [drools]

Share/comment away Grin

Oooh some baddies have got Mrs Hudson and Sherlock's looking all cross and vengeful. He's going to hit someone!

DesperateHousewife21 · 29/01/2012 16:29

Ive spent hours getting lost in lovely photos on cumberbatchweb, got a few more saved to my phone too Grin

LetUsPrey · 29/01/2012 16:35

He just slid his fingers round Irene Adler's wrist and is telling her how he took her pulse.

DesperateHousewife21 · 29/01/2012 17:31

In the second series when shes naked, do you think she wore anything when they filmed those scenes or was there carefully placed pieces of material?

DesperateHousewife - apparently she decided to be completely naked - they did give her the choice of using carefully placed bits of material but it would have taken much longer to shoot to avoid ruining a shot with those modesty things, so she went for the speedier shoot starkers!

Interview here

LetUsPrey · 29/01/2012 18:44

I couldn't have done it naked because obviously BC would have been unable to resist me and filming would have been delayed for a long long time. Well, filming for the tv show would. Wink

CaveMum · 29/01/2012 18:48

I'd hit the gym every day for weeks, not to mention numerous waxing appointments, if I had to do something like that!

I remember reading, years ago, that one of the first scenes they filmed for Titanic was the one where Jack draws Rose in the nude. They'd only known each other a couple of days so Kate Winslet decided to break the ice by flashing Leo Grin

DesperateHousewife21 · 29/01/2012 19:06

Of course if it has been ME I would have been completely naked and he wouldn't be able to resist my amazing stretchmarked body. She was brave doing that though! Maybe she thought she would seduce him no chance

CaveMum · 29/01/2012 19:09

Ok ladies, recommendations please.

DH has gone back to base ready for the weeks work and I'm all alone (should be revising for an exam, but hey ho!). Do I watch the Sherlock pilot or A Study in Pink with commentary?

OP posts:
LetUsPrey · 29/01/2012 19:46

Well, duh, both! Pilot is only an hour and you'll only be wondering what the commentary is like which means you won't concentrate on exam stuff properly. Problem solved. You're welcome. Smile

CaveMum · 29/01/2012 21:21

Another thing to add to the things to lI've about BC - his cupid's bow. Very, very kissable Grin

Oh yes, that mouth, those lips....

He was drugged and helpless and at the mercy of my a riding crop in A Scandal in Belgravia earlier today.

Helpless a bit of the time. The very opposite of helpless the rest of the time Grin.

DesperateHousewife21 · 30/01/2012 06:39

I was thinking about those lips when watching A Study in Pink, there are lots of close ups of his beautiful face at the end when he's talking to the cabbie across the table.

CaveMum · 30/01/2012 09:33

I listened to another episode of Cabin Pressure last night in bed. They were obviously having great gun ripping the piss out of BC as they kept making "detective" references at his character and referring to him as "Miss Marple"! I checked and the show was made after Series 1 of Sherlock Grin

I hope they make another Series, I've really enjoyed listening to it.

LadyClariceCannockMonty · 30/01/2012 10:02

CaveMum, I went to that Cabin Pressure recording and there was a LOT of laughter in the audience, and giggling and corpsing from the cast (mainly from Benedict) at all the Miss Marple stuff!

LadyClariceCannockMonty · 30/01/2012 10:11

Oh, and as far as I'm concerned, this sequence in A Study in Pink is hard to beat if you're after beautiful lips (and cheekbones, and hands ...): <a class="break-all" href="http://www.google.co.uk/imgres?q=benedict+cumberbatch+a+study+in+pink&hl=en&client=firefox-a&sa=X&rls=org.mozilla:en-US:official&biw=1222&bih=670&tbm=isch&prmd=imvnso&tbnid=ndY5V-0aJKFsOM:&imgrefurl=blog.cymbal-rush.net/2011/09/05/sherlock-s1/&docid=UP8B7-fwvNALMM&imgurl=blog.cymbal-rush.net/wp-content/uploads/2011/09/sherlock1x01.png&w=1280&h=720&ei=SWwmT67NGMbL8QPLyaTjBw&zoom=1&iact=rc&dur=446&sig=100905212096207828663&page=3&tbnh=148&tbnw=223&start=40&ndsp=21&ved=1t:429,r:6,s:40&tx=66&ty=56" rel="nofollow" target="_blank">phwoargh. And while searching for that, I serendipitously found a delicious pic I hadn't seen before.
you're welcome

CaveMum · 30/01/2012 10:16

I'm very jealous that you got to go to the recording Envy

I looked to see if there was a fourth series in the offing as I'd love to go and watch one, but, unsurprisingly, nothing is currently scheduled Sad

OP posts:
DesperateHousewife21 · 30/01/2012 10:32

Deeeelish!

LadyClariceCannockMonty · 30/01/2012 10:32

Yeah, it was fab. John Finnemore, the writer, did say not so long ago that he'd do another series if they let him (the Beeb, I assume). It's hard to say if Benedict would have the time or inclination to be in it again, but radio stuff does often have amazing casts of people you would think were too famous for it; I guess actors can sometimes fit it in quite easily around other work, and it must be relatively easy. Here's hoping anyway! Although I dread to think what demand and the queue would be like ? when I went (on Royal Wedding day) we arrived two hours early and there were still probably over a hundred people in the queue ahead of us, nearly all of whom looked like diehard Benedict fangirls. Smile
